@nznaturopath marshall make the best guitar amps out their thats why their so famous and you my friend have the best one you can buy out on the market
@TheMinerva14 NOPE! "AND "YES". I sold the JVM as it was a bias nightmare, and joe satriani has come back to Marshall. He only uses JVM now, but they are completely modded in a number of ways. The JVM here was great, but it had issues. If you check my other demos on youtube, you will see i agree with you on the Marshall front, or some of their amps anyhow. Jimi Hendrix stack, and holy shit. No words can describe the holy grail tone of it. :-) Check out the pedal i build too, GET YOURSELF ONE.
@TheMinerva14 Its not that this JVM i had was a dud, or broken, it just wasnt the marshall of the old days at all eh. And the bias wouldn't stay in tune with the output tubes. weird. ANyhow, it had good tones. It was deisgned to sound like a plexi, but doesnt even come close to the real mcoy!
@Tommytotally It will depend on everyones individual setup on what settings you have. Pickups included, as to what output they are. So there are no set settings to have the unit at. Experiment is the best way. All by ear, different for every amp. You have the JVM? I'm not sure, but you most likely dont have the hottest pickups on the planet, i.e. the PC1 guitar used here, thus, it will change everything. Tune it by ear, thats the absolute best way including the ground loop buttons on the back!.
I own a cornford roadhouse 50 watt head with a zilla fatboy 2x12 cab with a fender customshop deluxe strat with hand wound pickups by Jason lollar and a 25 db mid boost built into one of the tone knobs. Very useful for making it sound like a les Paul. The reason why I'm looking at one is because of a future investment because if I bought one of these I wouldn't need to rebuy again. Also subscribe to my channel ill do a demo of my gear soon! I have a lot of boutique effects too to many to mention
@NickWeiland The G String is not as versatile. The pro rack G has more abilities to eliminate noise, like its ground loop switches, and has individual settings for both channels, i.e. a whole set of noise reduction dials and switches for the effects loop channel and dedicated dials and switches for the guitar input channel. The G String is very limited with only 1 dial for both channels, but usually, the G String would be all you need, especially at home only setting. What gear are you using.
@MaidenFan24568 Whats black metal?? lol Anyhow, megadeth use this amp, so i guess it does great metal. I played with metal on it, and it was great. Stick a high quality TS808 in front of it to drive the drive channel harder so you dont have to use too much gain on the amp itself, as the amp can get a little noisey, hum and backround noise, thats why here i show off the fantastic PRO Rack G which is very much needed for this amp if you intend to drive it hard. absolutely. rock on!
@MaidenFan24568 Dont by it mate. They are cheap shitty modern amps eh. I just brought a Marshall Jimi Hendrix Super100JH handwired. Its the best Marshall ever created, or at least the best marshall in the last 25 years or so. The last other great amp was the JCM800 handwired version". Thats what you should be looking at. The JCM800 1980s version. There are plenty on eBay. This is if you want the best metal or hard rock. I play blues, thus i have the best amp bar none for that - Jimi tone!
@nznaturopath I hate to break it to you, but there isn't a hand-wired JCM 800 in existance, even the early 80's originals use PCBs. Marshall switched to circuit boards for all of their amps the mid 70's and didn't even start making hand-wired reissues for quite a few years after that. While I do agree that the JVM doesn't sound great, it really has much more to do with the pre-amp design than the fact that it's not hand-wired.

very good demo :) i'm gonna buy this amp, simply because i'm a huge megadeth fan, and they use the head version (jvm410h) on tour and in studio (as u said)
I have the Mesa Boogie Express 5/50, to me the clean is alright, but the distortion is floopy, just not my type of drive, I'm fixing to purchase a JVM 215c or a Mesa Boogie Mark 5 combo! I've seen you no longer have this amp, How is the clean and the drive on the Mark 5 compared to the JVM? Thanks for any Info.
@chasingtone Easy choice, buy mesa mark V. The JVM has some nice tones, but the workmanship and quality is nothing compared to mesa. The bias is inconsistent, its real hot and tubes dont last, heat peals the back panel off, cheap as weak plastic knobs. Mesas clean is million times better, and so many different tones in the mesa. The marshall didnt have many actually different tones, mostly just gain increases. Voltage decrease and wattage adjust adjustment on the mesa is amazing, etc etc etc
@DANTE4891 The JVM is better., theres no doubt there. Both are pcb modern type amps, but the JVM is far more versitile. The gain structure is far superior than the TSL. The clean is better right throught the high gain. Still a cheap shitty amp though. Buy a Mark Five Mesa Boogie amp, dont buy a modern day Marshall.
@DANTE4891 In regards to TSL and JVM, i would buy JVM. I dont know about comparing both these units in regards to reliability, but tone is better on the JVM410C thats for sure. Yet, the 410C or TSL122 are not good sound direction wise. The 2 different speakers they have create a weird output, its better to either use a 1 x 12 or 4 x 12 if you ask me. But as per your question, go with the JVM!
@cciemail It was a decimator demo mainly, everyone else is extremely happy about this demo. With this demo i sold the amp guitar and decimator, so it must have been an ok demo dont you think. There is plenty of JVM demos on youtube. It has comments on being a very good demo of the intensity of the JVM and the usefulness of the pro rack G decimator, and also the guitar aswell. ENJOY what ever you come across on youtube, the demo was to elighten people. It was a useful demo as many said! smile!
then you're lucky you found this video, cos it's titled "Marshall JVM 410c...", That was my original complaint about the video. It's not a useful demonstration for the amp.
OK, I saw your post below and I'm trying to decide between the JVM 410C and a Mesa Boogie Mk V. Sounds like you preferred the Mk V in that post. I know the advantages of the Mk V but this video shows some pretty sweet tones from the JVM. Can the Mk V step up? Maybe you could do a similar demo of the Mk V to compare. Cheers!
@waydamon Buy MARK FIVE BOOGIE and smile continuously. 1: build quality is about 1000% better than marshall. 2: Transformers are 1000% better than JVM Marshall. Best clean tone in the business, JVM sucks compared to mArK 5. Such a vast tone variation, you will have like a stack of amp heads in one amp. Easier to get a great tone, just turn it on, done! Marshall inconsistent tone, poor workmanship and the JVM runs real hot, look forward to buying tubes for it as ive heard. I have Mark 5 demos.
im thinking of buying this, this would be my first eva tube amp, and i have some questions, can tube amps create good sound with low volume? do the sound get shitty when cranking it up ? do i have to change the tubes anytime or anything like that ? do the tubes het so hot i have to shut it down and let the tubes cool ? PLEASE REPLY! TY
@TheCurseOfMetal I'll tell you something very good indeed. Buy a MARK 5 MESA BOOGIE. Dont buy Marshall because of the name, DONT DO IT. You can blast the Mark 5 Mesa and break the windows in your house, yet also, you can turn it down to 10 watts Class A and practice on high gain very quietly. It has a far better clean, better gain channels etc, its amazing. I owned the JVM and mark 5 at the same time, mesa killed the JVM and the mesa runs very cool indeed, the JVM was like a furnace, not good.
LOL someones calling you aussie?? geeez i knew you were a kiwi straight away lol i have the JVM210H but i have the 410H atm coz mine is getting fixed but wicked amps i must say!!!!!!
the build quality of Marshall is shit, its like buying a back street cheap chinese made broken radio when one buys a modern marshall. ill never ever buy a new marshall again, never, never never. Ill buy an old one though. Worst thing ever was to let his daughter or grand daughter run the company. holly shit, they are crap now eh. PCB cheap ass knockoffs. way of the times
Find your own personal sweet tone and love it to bits, love it, play it, and rock everyone around you. "only your playing will be the telling tail, never ever the amp or guitar brand".
YEt again, the Rivera Kr7 is just another amp aswell, if you cannot play the guitar very good, then stick to cheap gear, or buy expensive gear and keep rockin. This is nothing compared to riviera, hahaha, thats a good one. Its a tone thing, nothing is better than this amp for some people, or the other way around.
Sorry mate, didnt mean to go on about the amp, yeah it rules on the Marshall front, then there is other great amps like my Mesa Mark 5 and others. They are all very distinctive tones. The best thing to try is to find "your own tone", the tone that sits best with your heart, and get that amp, and buy the guitar and odd effects pedal, then sit on that stuff and learn hard out. Lots of people are addicted to "gear", instead of being good players, thats a waste as they have so much passion in them.
Yeah i should try that eh. The tone of the guitar and JVM is just amazing in all regards, this demo doesnt do it justice at all. BUt you can still easily tell that there is some sweet tone coming through eh. ENjoy!
Nice gear

This is not a useful demo of the Marshall JVM 410c .
This is mainly a demo of the decimator.

not this decimator thing.
If the amp requires this decimator noise gate to sound good, then what does that say about the amp???
