And there IS a Street Fighter 1. Only released in the Arcades. It was made in 1987. It was ported to the TurboGrafix on 1988.

Also, Mortal Kombat was released in 1992, AFTER Street Fighter II, so it can't be a rip-off, it's impossible.

I knew this game sucked since I first played it two hours ago. I mean, what the fuck? Everyone keeps talking about the infamous "hadooken" and I didn't even find how to make one -- I tried making these down-right combos and nothing! And even the main character was a ripoff of Mario with his red suit and hat! Couldn't they come up with anything original? So yeah, really stay away from this game. If you want to play a good game, try Fighter's History, at least that one is much more original.
