Mini-Dachshund Goes Crazy

We blow dry our Doxie when it's colder but just towel dry him most of the time. Then he jumps into our (HIS) bed and gets undr the blanket and hides where it's warm. LOL They are a hoot!

Mini Doxies are great little dogs. This vid reminds me of my own when she is very happy. She does not like being wet but loves taking a bath because of the attention she gets. She gets a lot of attention anyway but is always willing to receive more. i used to dislike Doxies but this dog literally chose me to be her new owner. That won me over to the breed.

He's not running around like that because he doesn't like the bath.. he's doing it because he loved it. The running around he's doing is his way of releasing all that excitement from feeling so good. Dog's don't run around like that when they are angry.. lol

I have a long hair dachshund, Frankie, that looks exactly like yours and does the same thing after a bath. BUT...before I let him down I wrap him tightly in a heavy towel and rock him to sleep like a baby, and he loves it. When he tries to move I shoosh him back to a relaxed state and he falls back to sleep. This helps absorb more of the water from his hair and CREATES A SPECIAL BONDING TIME that we both love!
