  • i think the bird just came.

  • Put some garlic cloves and just a couPle of drips of liquid smoke in that beer can. And don't use schaefer geez.

  • Don't forget to wash your hands!

  • GOOD

  • keep hitting 5 its a love scene

  • .....and sprinkle some inside too : )

  • Tried this recipe on my Weber using indirect heat...wife said best beer can chicken I've ever made.

  • Nice....BUT...place olive oil all over the chicken first so that your rub will stay on and use SMOKED PAPRIKA instead of regular paprika.

  • why don't you people use vinger to wash the chicken .My mom does it gets all the bacteria.

  • @profile724 washing a chicken with vinegar does not kill bacteria. bacteria does not simply lie on the outside of the meat. it is contaminated all the way through it, which is why chicken must be cooked thoroughly.

  • You got me wishing i had a grill...

  • zoom in more

  • good stuff mate :)

  • Brine chicken for one day in salted water with any spice. If it's frozen, let is thaw out in that salted spiced water. This makes the chicken juicier.Try putting some spices in the beer, rub a little olive oil on chicken before the rub, rub inside cavity and under chicken skin. I have used beer, white wine, Tequila with lemon juice, and rum as a liquid. WICKED!

  • wow... very good formula... simple and great tasting i bet...

now thats how you mount a chicken

  • I always cut off that glan thing near the chicken's butt :-|

  • @kode1303 thats the tail...lols, and its very fatty so its probably a good thing you don't eat it.

  • @FiestyCat86

chicken butt is a delicacy here in Asia

  • @ahsuknat Oh I didn't mean that its bad...its nasty when you think about what it is, but it tastes good, and thats because its full of fat. I use it to make stock for my chicken gravy, and I put that over garlic cheddar potatoes.

  • alchoholic chicken recipe

  • No NOO! You didnt use the can!

  • The fact that you didnt use a beer can just ruines the whole thing

  • It steams the bird from the inside and infuses the meat with the essence of barley and hops. Also the chef may drink as many as he likes while the rest of his goose is cooked.

  • tell me more about the beer.LOL

  • I make this all the time in the oven. It is the best and juiciest way to cook chicken because the heat is evenly distributed and comes from the bottom up so the dark meat that takes the longest is ready at the same time as white meat. Tip: when the chicken is sitting up, the very top of the bird can burn if its too close to the ceiling. So after 30-40 minutes or so, make a triangle out of foil and put a "hat " on the top of the chicken and cover the breast as well.

  • can you do this same technique in an oven?

  • Rub looks good

  • This looks awesome especially with grilling season coming up. But I wonder if a beer can will really fit inside to stand it up...

  • @DannyAces Yes the beer can will hold the chicken up. Use the legs to form a tripod. I mix beer with the rub and inject it into the chicken as well. just for extra flavor!

  • @trojanman5150

In the time since I posted that I made 3, figured out if you remove a rack in your oven you can make it during winter and became a vegetarian. 2010 was a crazy year : )

  • looks brilliant! XD i especially like the rubbing ;)

  • a lil less garlic powder, more onion powder and less cayenne pepper, and a lil less black pepper and the rub is excellent

  • I actually have a stand that has a ring at the bottom to roast veggies. It catches some of the dripping. Damn taste. Got it at BBQMonkey. com Its definitely worth it

  • so if you don't have a chicken stand you can use a beer can?

  • yepp

  • @cadet200 pay attention man

  • wait u can use a beer can? wont the *ink* plastic thing pasted on the beer can leech into the chicken making it very poisonous"?

  • @ 1:03 that chiggen looks like Quato.

Hey Quato braddah... mind if we shove a beer can up yer brown hole? Quato say "rubb my chiggen FIRST...meet me halfway, muthafuggah! "

It's good they're using Schafer, the elite beer... I can't find Schafer anywhere in Phoenix...I used to be able to buy Schafer beer by the case over at Big Lots in Alhambra CA...

  • Thanks for everything.

I made this meal for me and my son for his 6th birthday, he got so drunk off the chicken he stabbed his little sister with his 16 wheeler action man rig.

Now i've had to give him long term punishment, all because of this stupid video.

  • take your son/daughter inside when you impale that chicken...

the way this chicken gets impaled seems like something a few pissed up guys would do for a cheap laugh while they were having a barbeque

im sorry but this is no way to cook a chicken

  • 1:42 looks like the chickin is chilling

  • Where did you buy that cool stand?

  • Ive made alot of these. Ive done it with a grill as in this video, I prefer an oven and I place the chicken in a pie tin because there is a lot of residual liquid and wife makes a gravy of it. The MOST important thing Ive learned is to shove something in the neck hole, be it a carrot or a small potato to keep the moisture in the chicken. I use some type of purchased rub before cooking and herbs and spices too. OVERDUE the seasoning, the cooking sheds most of it. Great with garlic tators!

  • It dosnt taste like beer either

  • Can children eat this?

  • Yes, the alcohol of the beer is gone after you cooked it

  • @ThugLifeSoldiers thats why you drink while you eat

  • @1johnisua lol, i guess you're right.

  • @ThugLifeSoldiers didnt u know that beer is used to make holiday ham sauce?

  • They could anyway, im pretty sure half a beer isnt going to do any harm....
