I so agree, even though I think this era was slightly before my time. If there was still music being made today like this though, perhaps the older stuff would not be so special. I mean, I consider it genius for a reason, otherwise it would just be commonplace.

Thank goodness it can be listened to a million times over, and still be just as powerful!

"Sad Eyes" has always teared me up everytime I hear it on the radio. There is something about it that just gets me all teary eyed. Robert John performs it beautifully. One of the best songs from 1979..........just love it. Bob

70's music is so great. i played this song so much so much i was only 13 years old that is giong back a long time ago.

For some reason many seem to miss the underlying statements of this song and simply label it as a break up song. Yes, it is a break up song, but it is also a song about an affair.
