wow! i never seen this and i love janet! this is such a up lifting short film! no one really believes in in-powering people any more in music ! if they do they need to show it!!!
@Lovetheskorpionshow lol yeah moonwalker was more just for pleasure with the eyes alone like it was cute, fun, and entertaining. but it made no sense lmao the only thing that made sense was the smooth criminal sketch, which went nothing with speed demon, bad, leave me alone, or come together.
@beyoncefreak7 " after rhythm nation, janet stop being innovative" what about Janet's "Janet" album or "The the velvet rope"? I think once Janet started working w/ other producers (not Jimmy Jam or Terry Lewis), the quality declined. It started with "All for you" .
@beyoncefreak7 sorry but janet was still innovative after rythm nation epic fail janet velvet rope all for you did you see her last tour tour so shut up tell us you didn t love her anymore but us we still love her
@lilka913 you see thats where you're wrong. i loooove janet even after rhythm nation. my point was she stopped going the route she was going and started being like all the other artists, except her msuic was still really good i always loved janet. its just rhythm nation blew everything away the dancing in each of those videos were so complex then after that her video became more basic but it was still good, thats what im saying.
basically she is trying to say that "in complete darkness we are all the same, it is only our knowledge and wisdom that separates us" when she says that she means that everybody has a hard time, its how we handle those hard times. that boy thought he was good for nothing so he took drugs, his friend got shot because of the gunman's poor wisdom. she is trying to say that we need to stop looking for loopholes for our anger and just be knowledgeable, because there is always a brighter side of life
maybe so but its not just drugs that are highly addictive lots of other things are too . its in the human make up . some people have more addictive personalites than others . you cant blame a single substance for that human trait . what we need to see is the root of the problem . which is why do people get into that situation .
not even janet could stop the shootings and killings that still go on today 19 years later .why do people take drugs? ,because they are depressed ,why are they depressed because they are supressed? , supressed by who ? THE GOVERNMENTS ...PEACE
To me, this film is legendary. It sends a very important message and it is very metaphorical. I love Janet more than ever because I saw this for the first time today, and I believe that this film is needed to be watched by all artists, no matter who you are, what you are, and what your craft is. Thank you Janet, for leaving a big mark on the universe and continue doing what you do best.
I remember at that time, I was going through so much with my family that I wanted to kill myself. It was Oct/Nov when the movie came out on MTV. All I could do is cry and wish that Janet was holding me at the end. I'ts been twenty years since I've seen this film and I am still in tears at the end. Ever since then I always believed that you don't have to drink or do drugs to have a good time. Just dance and enjoy music and that is what I have done since. Thank you Janet for your message.
OMG thankyou so much for posting this. I havent seen this in years. I thought that it had been deleted as I hadnt seen it around. It was only by chance that I spotted it. I was meant to be studying for 3 exams but took a little detour. Thankyou so much again. You have really made my day.

This was one of the most brilliant films I've ever seen in my life, even though it was short.
Ever since I started to understand Janet's message in her whole Rhythm Nation 1814 album, it has become my philosophy.
I believe strongly in her lyrics and it helps me to try to better myself and my friends aswell.
JANET JACKSON makes me go to school and work hard. I want "The knowledge". <3 She's my idol.
