It usually articulates great but I may have forgotten to unlock my swayloc up front .It was a last minute decision to try it and I may have switched back to street mode.
Great job on the recovery but I can't believe the spotter didn't see that coming. You can hear him say "come this way" but you can't see where he's pointing. Then you see your wheels go straight to passenger side and down you go. Was he telling you the wrong way or did you just not hear him?
Yes, it is very extreme and the flop was pretty intense inside the Jeep. I had it but yes more driver and I was there but I couldn't see at all. I am heading back this spring and post a new video of me making it I hope! No doors or top this time though.
Great Video. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like you would have cleared it fine if you had just kept your tires straight. I did hear the spotter though telling you to turn.
I couldn't see a thing so I was blind in the Jeep. I should have had them a little more drivers side but then no fun recovery video The damage was minimal except for my door but I should have removed it first. It was a last minute thing to try it after we had run both canyons. It is part of the fun to roll or flop. I had my heart beating when I flopped for sure.
Video's Like these make me a weenee! I do not want the trail trophies thank you. So I wimp out and stay at the bottom of the trail and never have the fun of recovery......... YET! You gave it a go, hats off to you! Git it all fixed and go do it again! Cuz you can't damage something already damaged and you can't get a dirty jeep dirty. Hope you got her happy. Sorry for the bruises.
I'm up for a challenge but not a 2000 dollar mistake one. I'm more into having a jeep ready for anything anywhere, and can get me to isolated locals to enjoy.
I agree and if I could do it again I would take off my doors and no top. It was a last minute thing at the end of the day and rushed up it. I know how to make it now but I have already scraped up my tube fenders a lot since then anyway.
If you are going to wheel like that. Why would you run a full top and windshield up? Seems like you could avoid some damage with out the top and windshield down. Great video though. Glad to see the carnage was kept to a minimum
It was the end of the day I just went for it. I should have done all that but was in a rush. I almost made it. I think I could make it now that I know to stay to the left. Having a manual sometimes sucks. I stalled at the end and then Bam! It was fun and my heart was pumping. If you ever go see it in person you really can't believe how crazy it is to wheel up it .
1:28 you can see his sway bar is still connected...

Awesome Jeep vid. Jeeps are true recovery vehicles. And Jeep guys always get rigs out of the worst spots.

A bikini top and no doors and you'd barely notice the damage.

Maybe next time your spotter will actually watch your front tires and not let you fall in that whole!
