Sony Vegas Platinum, even platinum pro, isn't as good as Sony Vegas Pro 8. You'll notice the difference mainly in the price tag... among other things, one of the main things Pro can do that platinum can't is masking.

yes, i used Vegas, but i cant get the smoke effect in it. i use Particle Illusion for the smoke/explosions.
