I have been refilling colored cartridges for sometime, but whenever we print even the cleaning cycles, the gray tends to be pink. Is this how it is suppose to be or did I just not do it right?
get the cartridge type, plug in the number on ebay and get one of the systems for it. Mine only set me back 25 bucks and includes a refilling system for CMYK 60ml per each. Ive filled up my cartridges 3 times now, now mess at all and now poking holes with syringes.
The trick is to "top off" the cartridges each week rather than refilling them when they become empty. Otherwise, fill them as soon as you get a message that the ink is running low. Topping-off avoids the problems of refilling and extends the life of the cartridge.
Yeah I initially drilled a whole in the cartridge for a Officejet 6500 on the "tank" side of the ink cartridge and filled it up there, but the ink indicator kept still moving down to empty.
So, I found this hole that this guy talks about and filled in 10mm of ink through that, and about 1 to 3mm of ink came out the bottom of the tank where the sponge is. It was a right mess. The printer still thinks the ink is near empty. It's bullocks that I have to pay 31.00 for such little amt of ink.
