I am a fan of both shows. Howard is a better interviewer and has far better celebrity guests because of his name. Also, legitimately funny. Undeniably funny. Unfortunately, the whole show is Howard getting bowed to by everyone on his staff, and much of the show is based too heavily on insignificant things that go on within his staff. Opie and Anthony, as far as comedy goes, are far, far superior, despite their weaknesses.

howard had a huge amount of ratings because he got into radio when it sucked ass and had no talent, and he put on a good show. he built up a huge fanbase. years go by. now O&A appear(this is quite a bit later). howard by now had a legacy that spread due to the huge following that he had cause there was no other good radio.
