so this is great.. he gets finger grease and sweat all over the gpu and the processor before applying the heatsink with really "terrible thermal paste"... may aswell use toothpaste and cool the whole pc with a bucket of water instead of fans...................
I build computer completely different. ORDER: PSU CPU on mobo cooler obviously fan connected RAM on mobo mobo to case PSU to mobo all cards in psu to cards drives in HDDs in all drives gets connected as soon as they gets mounted all drives getting as much screws as it is possible fans are connected to PSU not mobo putting cpu and RAM inside case could damage mobo! RAM have to be mounted to by pressing them on both edges - nowhere in the middle.
yeah, That is bad cable management, but not only that!

Great design for the heatsink. The intels use these screw type things they can be annoying because there plastic and can bend. Thats the default heatsinks. Still wating on my Thermalright heatsink.
@mrmrgameboy1998 Heatsinks do not have power. The fan on top does and the 4 pin power for that should be relatively close to the processor. It should be white and have 4 long pins in most cases. I have an PhenomII X4 945, 8Gigs of RAM plus Radeon HD4870 on AMD785GT mainboard. It's capable of both CrossfireX and Hybrid Crossfire. Thank you for helping me out on the chips. I am going to wait it out so the prices fall. Its to expensive when your back wallet is empty. I thought I would ask questions. Thank you so much for heling me out
i'm confused now... in my p4 dual channel means that i need to put one ram stick on the first slot and the other on the 3rd slot, pairing the color of the slots. in amd the slots of same color are side by side so in amd we need to put ram stick on on the side of the other no leaving a slot empty in between?
It depends on the motherboard. Each channel is labeled on that board a1 b1 a2 b2. from left to right. If you look on the motherboard when he is installing the chips it shows you. Colors are not important.
OH no! You touched the heatspreader with your fingers, which have oil. That's not good for the TIM. That's what disposable sanitary gloves are for. But good videos though. Amazing how easy it is to build a computer these days. Getting it running with software and games.... That still takes some skill.
I am having trouble deciding between amd and intel processors. I have an intel processor in my lappy. I had an amd desktop. I want to know how fast is a quad core vs dual core. I need help with this .
The amd phenom ii x4 955 is comparable to the Intel core i7 920. However the Intel will still win. They main difference is price. AMD is cheaper for performance. Intel is very expensive for most chips. Depending on what you use it for, you may not notice the difference in performance. Mostly just benchmarks.
can anyone come into my mail and tell me what pc would be the best. I am planning to become a gamer to play WOW, and others, I am planning to use windows 7 64 bit or vista ultimate 64, with huge loads of ram along with a nice dual lcd monitor hookups.

Sorry AMD, but Intel has the best bang-for-buck again. The Core i5 750 costs $199 and is faster than the Phenom II X4 965, which costs $245.
I don't really know what they were trying to achieve with the Athlon II X4 620, to be honest. It costs pretty much the same as the Phenom II X3 720, is lower-clocked, over-clocks worse, has a locked multiplier, is slower in single-threaded applications, and about the same speed in multi-threaded applications.
Troll: Someone who posts controversial comments that are off-topic or lies to get people to reply angry.
Obviously, you were arguing about the price of Intel mobos, which are low, so you have no real argument to begin with. Core i5 is better bang-for-buck.
It WOULD be but intel did the stupid thing and stuck the PCIe controler on die and now cannot scale with more then one card. Then it's 8x 8x for 2 and 4x if more then 2. And amd still hangs with the i7 in gaming because the video card is usually the bottleneck.
Wrong. Exams performed proved that at 2560x1600 with a GTX 295 CrossFire in two PCI-E 2.0 X8 configurations only results in a loss of 5% in terms of frame-rate.
And gaming is only one part. The Core i5 750 is still faster in encoding, compressing, rendering, and multi-tasking.

@Alien4085,
I agree with your comment about AMD being cheaper and for the performance for price that it offers.
I've personally not observed any real world difference between the two processors except for benchmarks where the i7 has a bit of lead.
But to be honest, Even Crysis on Max settings can be playable if it can acheive close to 40-50FPS, anything more than that is benchmark material
But, I somehow feel the i7 is over-rated.
I would buy an AMD any day.
AMD is GOD.
