  • Miinneapolis is known to be the youngest ,romantic and one of the most gay friendly cities in the usa. Ake teen capital theaverage age is 23 due to many colleges andthe biggest mall

  • twins game that day.. i am so happy i decided not to go..

  • oh my god i remember watching this on the news right when it collapsed and my dad was supposed to drive over that bridge to get to his meeting ironically he was running late. thats why i think that if your late you should let it be and think that you could be late for a reason..

  • That was terrible :(

  • The was a Elderly Bridge so that's why it collapsed and that was not funny at all

  • Stop fucking curse me out of this now shut the fuck up and suck a big dick ;|

  • fuck you i drove over that an hour before it ahppened i live in mn and had a friend who was on the bridge when it happened

  • Based off Final Destination 5 :P

  • @mellygurlX3 Not funny idiot

  • @skeeterjackbug WTF I WASNT EVEN TRYING TO BE FUNNY!!! FINAL DESTINATION 5 WAS BASED OFF THIS !! WTF D:!!

  • @mellygurlX3 no, its the other way around you fucking idiot.

  • @liberalinthedesertaz OK YOU DONT HAVE TO CURSE ME OUT WHAT THE FUCK!

  • 1 billion/week is now being spent in Iraq, money that could be better spent on repairing aging infrastructure in the US.

  • @gilliamjf Really? let me remind you that the collapse was caused by a design flaw dating back to the 1960's gusset plates were too small and could not support the structure and since there was construction going on when the bridge collapsed (and contributed to it's demise because of additional weight) I don't see how funding could in anyway have saved the bridge.

  • @scholl1943 Nobody cares about the original bridge. We care about the people who died that day. Funding and accountability could have saved those lives by building a new bridge before it fell in the first place. Seems like a no brainier to me.

  • @coldsteel122 Oh I'm so impressed you must be the new secretary of transportation who else can tell that gusset plates are too small and cannot support a structure. You know weak infastructure that can put fans in danger is what some sports teams say when they file for new stadiums. But most of the time they are going to be told to stick with the current structure that they have and fix the problem by renovation. Which is what was happening when the bridge collapsed.

  • @scholl1943 Hey you patronizing little troll I'm not making engineering claims. The fact is that if more money was put into the repair and inspection they would have closed the bridge and started building a new one. It's clear to me you're one of those trolls that like to disagree...so I'm not gonna argue with you. Either get my point or don't...I don't care.

  • @coldsteel122 I'm sorry it was Quirrel who let me in the dungeon i'm just here because you wrote to me don't blame me for being here. Millions of dollars were being used to improve the decking, railing, and lighting on the bridge when it fell. To suggest they would spend money on thoes items but not on another makes no sense.

  • @scholl1943 Looks like I got in the middle of another debate you had. Clearly we are not on the same page. Sorry for any confusion and best of luck to you.

  • @gilliamjf that's why support Ron Paul for 2012

  • one of my dad's friends was on that bridge and survived!

    THANK GOD!

  • There's debate about replacing the Tappan Zee Bridge because of MANY weaknesses to the point that it's past it's structural lifespan. The same goes with the Pulaski Skyway.Cutting spending is one thing, but money spent on new infrastructure is a lot cheaper than dealing with a disaster, it's aftermath, investigations, lawsuits, and the eventual rebuilding. After every disaster all the civil engineers raise the same question of "what went wrong" rather thanasking "what will go wrong" beforehand

  • @chitownjt

The President and Congress aren't gonna do shit. They are the puppets of corporations, who own our government, our healthcare, and our infrastructure. It might take 50 years for it to be "declassified" (if we make it that long), but the truth will come, and we are all gonna feel like a bunch of idiots for just sitting around and being "proud Americans" while they enslave and pillage our sons and daughters. They already own human genes and future technology.

    We are fucked friend.

  • @JurisArcane Paranoid, much?

  • I guess taxes are good for something huh

  • Pawlenty's Tax Cut for Millionaires at Work

  • I remember this day... home watching the news and the horror.

  • omg

  • Man: Okay, so if i were to screw this bolt in the wrong way the entire bridge would collapse?

Man 2: Yeah, so don't do that.

Man: *nervously sweats* *screws other way*

    Man 2: NO!!

    *boom*

    Man: Wow, we're still alive.

Man 2: Correction, only one of us will be alive after I'm through with you!

    Man: YIPE!

  • T-Pawty, Governor Bridge Collapse for President? I don't think so.

  • I live 30 miles north of minneapolis and i remember this day. pretty scary going over bridges for a while

  • @Imamkoolz haha i remember driving on 35E over the Mississippi 3 days after the collapse high as fuck. I held onto the car door with my dear life!

  • i remember this.. the twins were playing KC at home... and they still wanted to play...

  • @onomatopoeia162003 the game had already started and no one there knew about it for a while.

  • Nature why do you hate us humans? What the heck have we done to you? TELL ME.

  • @TheZa1994 idk we chopped down trees, poached animals, took over some of their land and industrialized it, maybe somewhere in that catagory.

  • Holy shit! Where where the enginiers?!

  • first this now the dome... sadd

  • @xXSimonJCPXx Yes, because witnesses have been around dynamite before, so they know what to compare it to. And none of your points even make logical sense to blow up the bridge, in my opinion. I'm not here to argue with you about it, I just don't believe your theory.

  • shieeet. i liveeee in minnnesota... i remember thiss.. this was scarrrryyy

  • @tanyagarciaaa1

Whyyyy doooo youuu typpeeee likeee thissss?????????

  • @DanSa25 idddonttknooooowwww.hahaha(: its a baddddhabbbbit. :)

  • i may be wrong when i say this, but i thought i heard that engineers warned the city of Minneapolis 1 week before the collapse that the bridge was in immediate danger of collapsing, so they wanted the bridge to be closed. the city didn't listen, and so the engineers placed that camera down at the base of the bridge to prove their point in court. i could be wrong though

  • @physicskid1 not true

  • @aMAXproduction oh, okay. i was pretty certain that engineers warned the city about the bridge being in immediate danger of collapsing, i just wasn't certain about the video tape part.

  • @physicskid1- Yep, the bridge had been in bad shape for quite a while. Funny thing about steel, you have to pint it every now and then to keep it from rusting.

  • @xXSimonJCPXx Dude, the bridge fell down on its own. As you can see, it didn't explode, it collapsed.

  • my dad and two brothers were on that bridge 1 day before it Collapsed we went to the dome to see the twins play ball.

  • That is so sad ! I remember this day too . I was getting ready for cross country practice while listening to KDWB and the radio announcer said ( ) Bridge collapsed so there will be some traffic. And the way he said it was all non-chalant so I assumed it wasnt that bad until I returned home that evening and saw the news. Wow still was kinda long ago but it still seems like yesterday ! :l

  • This was on my parents wedding anniversery

  • We have enough money to rebuild Iraq but no money for our own American infrastructure.

  • @xXSimonJCPXx Dude this isn't 911 there was no explosions and the only sound was that of the bridge failing and falling into the river, and the only person that i know of saying that is you so i will say it again *STFU* before you make yourself look like more of an idiot, don't reply to this post cause i would hate to see you get *Trolled* again XD

  • minneapolis is mainly a teenage city. a place is a teen hang out cty

  • @cromsoto1 Are you planning to go there when you reach your teens?

  • @xXSimonJCPXx

    don't stop, you're humouring me

  • @xXSimonJCPXx I live in Minneapolis, I gotta say, you are quite the idiot LOL

  • @xXSimonJCPXx Dude *STFU* i drove over that bridge 1 hour before it happened and from driving over it, walking both on and beneath it before i can tell you that the bridge was failing long before it collapsed, and so is most of Minnesota's infrastructure, and unless you live in Minnesota and know about the same road work they do all over the state every year and seen these things first hand close up, then don't rant non-sense thanks!!

  • @iEatYourSandviches

it's how he gets his kicks. let him convince himself and his little brigade that the collapse was rigged by the army working in conjunction with Martians. the rest of us have common sense and know better.

  • I remember watching the news in the living room... It was scary to see a bridge my family and I drove across a ton...Shiver, hopefully the new bridge won't have the same issue...

  • AMERICA HAS REALLY GOT A BAD WEIGHT PROBLEM.

  • @dangerousdazza Typical cold-hearted Brit.

  • @dangerousdazza wow dude. you have a major issue if thats what you thinking of when a bridge collapses. i hope you rot in hell.

  • @dangerousdazza KAAAAAABBBBBOOOOOOM!!!

  • @dangerousdazza 13 PEOPLE DIED ON THAT BRIDGE! And you take this opportinity to talk about weight? What the hell is wrong with you?

  • i lived about 1-3 miles from the bridge i remember hearing a big bang.

  • minnesota was i panic that day. its nothing to joke about. families died. its weird driving over the new bridge. i feel like im driving over a grave. it was a horrible day for minnesotans. try telling people who lost someone in that bridge collapses (including me) that their friend or family was fat. america is made up of too many messed up people like you rovfr. shut up

  • @Embabel08 yea i understand i used to live in minnesota, i was born in minneapolis and im freakin proud of that state...i was devistated to hear the news, and im terribly sorry for your loss :'(

  • This show a major issue that has to be address about America! Too many FAT people there, your bridges can't take it.

  • @rovfr You're a fucking moron. Why don't you tell that to the families that are probably still grieving over the loss of their loved ones?

  • @rovfr Not funny, go die.

  • @rovfr

you're a fucking sick asshole-if you said that to my face, I'd knock your teeth out

  • @LCT29 shut up fatso, go get in a car accident

  • @blootoober

    yours, I'd knock in

  • @rovfr Deine mutter.

  • @rovfr fuck you

  • what the hell is this! the gov/state can't even provide bridges that won't break dropping dozens of unsuspecting civilians!? the gov and the grid cannot be trusted with life. could you imagine driving across and then all of the sudden having that happen to you!? don't feel sorry for the gov/state, it has no feelings, but people do! and of course in the midwest, in minnesota, of course one of my most hated regions just got another red mark* I hope minnesota had hell to pay

  • @hellocycloner It is up to the state to inspect in a proper way, of course...however, it was determined that is was a design flaw. Remember, when you say "I hope minnesota had hell to pay" the state is people (working stiffs) me. I hate it when politicians (i.e. Amy Klobachar...etc.) politicize this. They had a construction crew repaving when this happened.

  • This was shocking, I live in bloomington, minnesota and I was shocked when I saw this on T.V. bless the people who died in this horrible tragedy.

  • this didn't take years to complete. about two years i think. the bridge is a lot better now.

  • Tsunami!

  • I liked this video, thank you.

  • I was 20 miles from there when it happened. I wasn't going to cross it,but my aunt had crossed it twice that day to get to and from work. Scary stuff.

  • if the stupid mother fuckers in this god damn state .would do there fucking ass job and fixed the bridge .and not let people drive over it.those 9 people would be alive today and this bridge would have never fell

  • @namffocevets are you willing to pay more taxes so they can do their job?

  • @namffocevets thank you, captain obvious.

  • they where fixing the bridge and there was to much heavy equipment on the bridge n it jus added up, saw it from the plane and people thot i was nuts

  • my friends uncle was on this bridge a half before it collapsed

  • i was in minnesota when this happened. was on vacation visiting old family friend, i was watching the news then this popped up, its crazy...

  • yea how many unwilling taxpayers took it in the rear with this!!!

  • @dustincreditable Excuse me...we pay our fucking taxes and the government is supposed to fix problems when they are reported. and why would you say that when people died in this government failure? your fucking sick!

  • @91Chevy305 because the minnesota DOT is suppost to inspect all bridges obiously they couldnt get off their lazy asses watching the queens lose to the packers and the golden crappers lose to the badgers

  • Now idk if people don't beilevei n this. But 40 years ago in 2007 of this. ThE Mothman was seen before the Silver birdge collaspe of West Virginia Point Pleasant now 40 years later in 07 this collaspes and someone seen the mothman before it collasped how i kno Lost Tapes and News from Crypto. It is rele strange and scary.

  • @OttieSucks the mothman oh please man please such things dont exsist

  • We had a vehicle similar to the one at the bottom with the bridge, shortly after it happened we got a dozen or so calls from people wondering it was us or not. It was definately one of those sad horseshit days.

  • I say that it was government incompetence. It was failure to hire enough city workers combined with their failure to train the workers they did have (just so they knew the subtle points to look for)

  • I say that it was government incompetence. It was failure to hire enough city workers combined with their failure to train the workers they did have (just so they knew the subtle points to look for)

  • I had a dream about a bridge collapsing the day before this happened

  • i was there o.O

  • iv a really bad feeling and bad dreams about falling bridges all the time. dont no why

  • The work of the terrorist....

  • @mightyjoe911 or hillary clinton with a chain saw

  • I have waste too much time with you. I will not respond to anything more from you. Review what you have said here and think about what you have done.

  • i hate overtalking political morons.

  • So don't be suprised when you get a bunch of angry responses. You are an insensitive jerk who enjoys being a prick to others. BTW G W bush campaigned on noninterventionism and states rights in 2000 both of which he did not do. He stole both elections but in 2000 sound 100 times better than mr. bullshit climate expert gore. At least he kept the US out of kyoto. Your Blair with GW dragged you into iraq, bush didnt drag blair in to iraq, the conspired together.

  • USA

    All other countries suck

  • oh my effing god, just shut the hell up with this damn fighting already!

  • the mothman tryed to warn us but nobody listened. you have been warned again mortals ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

  • lol your "reasoning" fails so bad. The bridge was designed to handle several TIMES the weight on the bridge at the time. Plus only 1 in 3 (33%) of Americans are "fat", meaning 2 in 3 (67%!!!!) AREN'T. Wow, that too hard a concept for you?

  • @nsapao4cc Deine mutter.

  • 2 retards

  • I don't believe it, this one was actually "Cought On Tape"!!! 10 points for GumbaZar

  • hey i wuz in white earth when this happened.!!

    i luv minneapolis (hometown.)

  • all american made goods, lovely.

  • DAAAAAAWE GOOD GAAAAAAWD!!! I crossed that bridge when I went to see the Jets/Vikings. I missed collapsing with it by roughly 8 months. Whooooo!

  • bitches i live in MN!

  • omg man thats sad you okay now

  • I lost my Mother on this bridge ): i love you mom

  • @J0redr0x Oh my gosh I am so sorry to hear that. God bless you and your family :(

  • @xoxoDAVETANGOxoxo I'm okay now.. may her soul rest in peace. I love you mom

  • Im so sorry about that, hang in there. god bless.

  • poor you

  • Feelingthis1989 you are retarted. I you lived in minnesota and understand what type of conditions the infrastructure goes through you wouldnt be running your mouth. You try keeping up a bridge for 500 years when minnesota has extreme temp changes. 100 in summer and then down to -20 in the winter. Plus add road salt to that equation. Also MNDOT pumped alot of money into that bridge and at the time was maintaining it. I've been over that bridge hundreds of times and still trusted it

  • scary to think what will happen if MN don't pump money into their "infrastructure" if this what happens when they DO pump lots money in.. same conditions here in the UK, -20C to +30C & we salt roads so no excuse, your country is dying yet you keep donating billions to the terrorist state of Israel while your country suffers..

  • I wish more idiots like you would have been on the bridge when it went. Go eat ome crumpets and a fat cock.

  • @noordwinter

Check your facts. Governor Pawlenty has cut taxes all across the board, making government and much-needed infrastructure projects very hard to come by.

  • @noordwinter

Oops, meant better schools, not "government" ..

  • lol? how does the whole countries spending methods fit into this one bridge? you must be retarded, look at the economy these days before you run off like that.

  • last time i checked it was the american sub prime mortgage crisis that triggered this global recession. a total disregard for proper regulatory measures in the USA financial markets means people like bernie madoff can commit fraud of $45 billion that only gets caught after a decade or 2 lol. how pathetic. if you can regulate your financial markets you defiantly cant regulate or maintain the quality of your infrastructure. face it your country is a total mess that will only get worse... haha

  • @feelingthis1989 The central banks of the world blew up a world wide bubble. You notice the same thing happened in ireland and spain. You had the same fraud happen all over europe. What about that guy who embezzeled billions from the one french bank? You are just a little troll, get out of here.

  • damn i thought this gay ass argument was over i wasted hours of time arguing with that other cocksucker on here. i have stopped talking with him but you seem to have a bit more sense so i might aswell tell you what i have to say. you dont need to tell me how the USA works i know it already. like i told the other guy go and watch some news reports after the event that show the USA infrastructure is in such an underfunded state that its falling apart. thats all you need to know...

  • ...about that. that underfunding is caused by mismanagement brought on by an inefficient and stupid government in charge who were elected twice by the american people despite its incompetence. that says a lot about the american people as a whole. and just so you know the reason why they didnt act in time was because of underfunding. did you watch the news after this happened? and it was replaced quickly because of the coverage it got and was an isolated event. compare that to new orleans...

  • ...post katrina once the cameras went black. large parts still lie in ruins because of a lack or funding to be able to rebuild. yuo have spent TRILLIONS on wars when they could have spent it rebuilding.... its laughably bad. and the points im making off this video are related to his video. the things that caused this event are where my other points extended from so it is related and believe me the last thing i would do is exploit this tragedy. also my points are fact and logic and ARE well...

  • ...researched. everything i have said can be supported with evidence and intelligent logic. the European and rest-of-world banks collapse and troubles were caused by the fallout from the US bank troubles not because of of there own mismanagement. indeed, most european banks were in good condition prior to the US bank collapse. as for the french guy he fraud lasted 3 years at most. bernie madoff for example had done it for many decades. there is a big difference...

  • ...i think it is you who is misinformed. just like the other guy you seem to talk 'facts' and expect me to believe yet most of what you said was crap. believe me when i say something its true... it seems you are the troll, perhaps dont message me unless you've got a valid point which is actually intelligent. and just to say i am sorry if these messages are a little all over the place i can barely keep my eyes open im so tired.

  • @feelingthis1989 If your banks needed to be bailed out after this meltdown then no they were not in good condition. They were overextended with risky bets. You can blame easy credit and fractional reserve which all can be traced to the central banks collusion and ill stewardship of the economy. Your blaming the pin that popped the bubble but you should be blaming the person who blew the bubble up. You swooped in here and shot from the hip and missed the target u are the troll.

  • @feelingthis1989 Im not saying the IRAQ and afganistan wars arnt a waste. But what your saying is that there was NO money whatsoever because of the war which is not true, and ILL RESEARCHED. The correlation is very distant and in the end it was the states responsibility to care for the bridge and to raise the funds to do it which it failed to do. Your ham handed analysis does not correlate with the facts mr. arrogant.

  • @feelingthis1989 Lots of money flooded into katrina. It was just mismanaged and wasted by fema. Never trust the feds to do anything, state government always does a better job. But it was not because of lack of money. The levies broke because the locals didn't want to foot the bill to shore up the levy but at any time they COULD have. They were being cheap. Had things been a higher priority they could have taken care Believe it or not the federal government does not foot the bill for EVERYTHING.

  • @feelingthis1989 that clip was a sensationalist piece asking for more funding for the roads which it got in the stimulus package. In 2008. Show me a country were funds are not tight? Hell practicaly every country in europe is up to its eyeballs in debt, there are exceptions, but if something is a priority it gets taken care of. This news piece was in the news only for a week because the body count wasent high enough and more pressing things came up. How long do you expect them to cover this?

  • reply to 2nd) the clips i am on about were aired after the disaster and shed light on the poor state or US infrastructure as a whole, far from sensationalist it should have been an eye opener and a turning point. sure, short term a new bridge was built but like i said when the cameras went home the problems were again forgotten. and decent state or government wouldnt have let it get into that mess in the first place. and not just ignore the problems when the scrutiny of the cameras were gone...

  • reply to 2nd cont.)... the stimulus package was only introduced to stimulate the economy and create jobs the fact that the infrastructure got some well needed TLC was just a bonus. if the economy wasnt in trouble there would be no stimulus package, funding would still be to low and the infrastructure would continue falling apart. in a way the US infrastructure owes a lot to this financial crisis. and before the crisis (when this occured) sure european were in debt but at least they kept their...

  • reply to 2nd cont (2) )... infrastructure in decent shape. prior to this crisis european nations were doing great. they didnt spend over their means and could afford to fund themselves. thats where the US is in trouble. even before the financial crisis it was spending way more than it can afford and the money was spent very badly. (your 10 trillion in debt...) if it wasnt for americas problems europe would still be doing great.

  • reply to 3rd) "state government always does a better job" then "The levies broke because the locals didn't want to foot the bill" lol the state government were the ones who should have assessed that new orleans was i danger if a hurricane occurred but once again it didnt. action was only taken when the cameras were rolling and the disaster had already occurred. "Had things been a higher priority they could have taken care" how can a cities safety not be top priority?!?! face it its a mess

  • reply to 4th) no i am not saying there was NO money i never said that. i said there wasnt enough money. now consider that you spend 700 billion defence and wars a year (which is an extremal large percentage of the budget) it doesnt take a genius to work out that if the war hadnt happened then say 365 billion (at least) could be spent at home on say... infrastructure maintenance!!!! and if the state cant raise funds then the fed gov should help... which it didnt. stop defending the undefendable

  • reply to 5th) the main reason why european banks collapsed was because of the fallout from the US problems, world banks are closely connected if one sneezes the other catches a cold. the european banks were in good shape but like i said their problems were caused directly by the US banks. if the US banks didnt get into so much shit this crisis wouldnt have happened. its all the US banks fault and then the governments fault for not regulating properly. dont blame europes banks...

  • reply to 6th) i am surprised when i get angry responses because im talking fact and its you who is not. im not the one clouded by patriotism and nationalistic bias. if you opened your eyes you would see what i see. and i only talk arrogantly when people waste my time with bullshit they expect me to believe. i only get into arguments if i know i will win. hence when i say stuff you shouldnt respond because you make a fool out of yourself and you waste my time...

  • reply to 6th cont) as for bush and his government they destabilized the planet and mismanaged your country on 2 occasions because the american people re elected. and you wonder why the rest of the world calls the american people stupid... as for gore i guarantee he would do a better job than bush i would do a better job than bush. sure gore would get into kyoto accord is that such a bad thing? create thousands of new jobs relinquish your reliance on foreign energy imports. push the USA to...

  • ... into a new age of green clean technology. not just for the environment but like i said for economic and political reasons too. not to mention many of his other policies. the fact you openly declare bush would do a better job than gore quite frankly is laughably stupid and shows how distorted your views are. as for blair, he was bush's bitch. like a lap dog not wanting to harm the 'special relationship'. however he managed britain great as a whole just a shame his legacy is tarnished by iraq

  • ... hope that settles it because that took some time to wirte. inever intend to spend so much time on these messages but i get carried away and before i know it its been 45 minutes. please dotn reply unless you actually have something logical to say because i just wasted 45 minutes debunking and dissecting everything you said. i know your a US citizen and a proud one at that but like i told the other guy that doesnt mean you should defend the undefendable... hope you get the message. peace

  • The states always had the ability to raise the money. Instead the pandered to people and offered solutions that would not involve pain. Not raising the taxes and letting things go until the next election so the next guy can take the fall. Such is politics. This is why I hate a big government welfare state. I never defended the iraq war, you put those words in my mouth. You do that alot really. Maybe its because you desire an arguement where you are right and the other is not so you can rail into

  • Nothing your saying here invalidates anything I said. If you want to go on believing that centralized government is better than local decentralized government be my guest but don't be suprised if some of the greatest minds in the world disagree with you. I never said things were not a mess, I have always maintained that iraq war was a bad deal, im just not blaming it for the infrastructure mistakes when clearly they are the states responsibility.

  • They repeatedly spent over their means time and time again. That is why their debt is so high. If you really knew what your talking about you would realize that this describes the entire developed world. Mired in debt. From Japan to the UK, from france to greece. Warfare is a big culprint, the welfare state is an even bigger one that people such as yourself refuse to touch. EUROPE HAD ITS OWN HOUSING BUBBLE! EUROPE IS AT FAULT FOR CREATING IT! NOT AMERICA!

  • European countries were in horrible debt and still are. What is to blame is the extravagant welfare state. High taxes impede growth, which slows the growth of the tax base, leaving tax revenues near flatline. Countries like france and ireland are in debt to what...150-200% of their gdp? all this is irrelevant to your "point" though. The federal government is not responsbile for states roads. The stimulus is meant to be a one time deal. This still falls upon the states.

  • Hmm nothing logicial about this piece. Just a bunch of nasty conjecture. You just cannot stay on task can you?

  • @feelingthis1989 No Mr. Arrogance you don't know how the US works. Minnesota funds its roads through a state gasoline tax. They receive some compensation from the federal government but a large part is funded by the state of minnesota. At no time was road funding cut from 00-08 and after the bridge collapsed funds were diverted to the cause. You dont know what your talking about stop acting like you do,

  • reply to 1st) the money it was raising from the gasoline tax obviously wasnt enough hence the poor maintenance and collapse and the shoddy state of other parts of the infrastructure in that state alone. surely the federal government should have known about this critical lack of funds and allocated more the the state of minnisota so its infrastructure could be properly cared for??? yet it didnt because it had almost no money a large part of which is caused by the iraqi wars. ($3 trillion)

  • Then the states should have raised taxes then shouldnt they have? Issue solved, it was the states fault. At no time during the war were taxes raised. The feds shouldnt take money from all 50 states to bail MN out of her problems. Your wrong here. I doubt your pride will allow you to admit that. Its all perfectly logical. This was our original arguement. Before you attached all sorts of other issues into the fray and expected me to defend them. This was the original arguement and you lost.

  • nope i didnt lose. the argument went from government incompetence which led to this collapse then i furthered the argument by attacking other problems caused by that sad excuse for a government. you say the state should have raised taxes? but they didnt because they are incompetent. surely the federal government should have jumped in to help if a state is not being run properly. surely it shouldnt just stand back and watch it stagnate and thus allow shit like this to happen...

  • ...and competent federal government would step in to help. but it didnt. if you are saying that is OK then your stupid because thats bad management at its worst. which ever way you look at it the federal government should have stepped into help. if its willing to spend 3 trillion to 'help' the iraqi people surely it can spare a few billion to help a state in its own fucking country.... but... it didnt. haha its pathetic

  • Yeah this is the state of the US construction industry today, using cheap materials from China & an immigrant workforce who couldn't care less about doing the job properly..

OK, go look at the smog in London that affected 100,000 people and killed 4,000 in 1952. Things like this just happen in various places. China had to really clean up pollution just in time for the Olympic Games. Nobody here is mocking them for it. Bugger off.

  • @Karpify why bring that up? that was 50+ years ago. brought about by the burning of fuel and bad weather nothing to do with bad management. this was brought about by shitty infrastructure and poor maintenance caused by a corrupt and incompetent government who would rather spend 2 trillion dollars on a war that has actually made the world a much less safer place with major instability and given the USA even more enemies rather than spend it on upgrading and repairing its infrastructure

  • you're just a brainwashed idiot who cant see the facts. try getting rid of that patriotic bias it will do you some good. face it your country is falling to pieces that sad excuse for a president won't bring change he was just voted in because of his skin colour which once again shows the sad state your country is in whereby to get into the most powerful position in the world all you need is a gimmick rather than policy. I don't think it will be to long before something like this happens again

Wow. First, you don't understand our government, so don't criticize it. The federal government helps pay for projects like new bridges, but the state needs to get them by earmarks, etc. State gov't != Fed gov't. Also, don't generalize Obama like that. You're wrong. He was voted in because he is a great leader, way better than his predecessor. He was elected as a Democrat, over a Republican of a very unpopular party from 8 years of bad rule.

  • Being black definitely helped him win the black vote by a gigantic margin, but it probably alienated him from other groups that might have voted for him, particularly in the South. You need to think about the big picture. And it's not patriotic bias. I never went on a GB page bashing Cameron or Blaire or Brown. And I never bragged about the U.S. either. I merely pointed out that each country for their faults. And besides, we saved your ass in WWII, so don't hate.

  • @Karpify uhh, firstly, i gtot onto this video by accident (it was a related video to one i was watching) i watched it and made a statement about the government and your country as a whole. the statement i made was fact. i didnt come here to bash the US just to laugh at it. 2) i do understand how your government works, i probably understand it better than 90% of the people in your country. and like i said poor leadership bad management, and poor allocation of funds leads to a shoddy...

  • ... infrastructure as seen here. the lack of funds can be attributed in part to the vast amounts spent on a war, which like i said is a complete waste of money and made your country even less safe. this is all caused by poor leadership at the top which is caused by voters voting in idiots to power based on gimmicks rather than credentials. 3) my attack on obama is warranted. he is vastly inexperienced he is not going to make major change like he said. he's just a puppet poster boy for the ...

  • ....democratic party to get into power. hence their other candidate was a lady (gimmick!!!) rather than someone with real credentials and real ideas. your country (like mine) is a two party state, meaning no major changes will ever be made meaning your country like mine is stagnating. you think obama is a great leader? based on what? speaches which he didnt even write himself? a catch slogan? or his amazing policies (sarcasm alert!). considering a vast majority of obama voters couldnt name...

  • even two of his policies i really dont think he was voted in because he was a great leader. he was voted in because of the gimmick and becasue the other option was GWB clone john mccain. haha how could you not see this???? i bet in, at most, 8 years republican will be back in power. sea-sawing back and forth again and again. lol. sad thing is its almost as bad here in britain. dont think your country is great anymore because it isnt its got more cracks than this bridge had....

  • ... and 1 last thing (and im sorry for the big response but i needed to get a few things of my chest) dont bring that war bullshit in here. you may have saved us but lets not forget without britain the USA would still be home to some stone age indian tribes. so much of what your country is based on comes from british ideas, britain is the foundation for your country. without Britain the USA wouldnt even exists. dont ever forget that. so show a little fucking respect...

  • @feelingthis1989

Your racism is not warranted here. There are so many things wrong with our system, I won't even start. I hate two-party politics. But I would prefer Obama over McCain. McCain's policies were quite similar to Bush, and we all know where he brought us. I never said our country is the greatest. I think it's naive to think that. At some point you need to realize people aren't as willing to be as intelligent as you or I in regards to starting pointless wars, etc. It's a sad world.
