you can't have it both ways. if you don't like the elliott, then you can't then like the Star for TV.

if you want action: the kite to replace the sailboard, the foiling moth to replace the laser and finn, tornado and 49er can stay but include girls in both.

but do you think the politics within ISAF will ever allow it?

Although definitely an improvement over the outmoded underpowered Yngling, the Elliot is unfortunately an eyesore. With media coverage becoming ever more important, the ISAF should be more careful in the selection of boats, and give the media appeal more consideration.

The boat looks like a bathtub. The most pleasant olympic boats on TV are the 49er (where audiences get a hint of the action) and the timeless, elegant star boat (even if it is a footchain for the sport)
