@StonewallJackson26 Tax revenue in the USA accounts for 26% of GDP. The only countries with a lower ratio is Turkey Chile and Mexico. I don't think anyone in the USA would like to trade those economies with ours.
The only way to grow the economy is to grow the GDP since it is well known that changing the top tax rates have no effect on GDP. America's paycheck has to grow and that happens through innovation, education and productivity, NOT changing the tax rates.

My uncle is a very good doctor who barely makes enough.

The only way to grow the economy is to grow the GDP since it is well known that changing the top tax rates have no effect on GDP. America's paycheck has to grow and that happens through innovation, education and productivity, NOT changing the tax rates.

All the government has, is what it takes from citizens. Student loans and grants is donations and State subsidies. And where do you think subsidies come from, the private sector.

If you look up information regarding who makes up the top 1% of US incomes, the largest portion are doctors and surgeons. The avg. CEO makes less than the avg. doctor.
I have an autoimmune disease and took out loans for college. I just made sure that I studied something with high demand/high salary and had no problems. Now I'm paying my own way through med school without significant debt.
