  • Don was truly one of a kind. Decades ahead of his time, Tony T. pointed out in his book, "Hot Licks for Bluegrass Banjo" that Don's playing was such that even now 50-60 years later, few have dared to emulate it. When they carve that banjo Mt. Rushmore, he'll be there. RIP Don, -- we love you.
