  • 0:46 the simpson

  • 2:47 - Admiral Ackbar!

  • Django either predicted, or created the music of the future.

  • It's funny how future music acually sounds like this (hard rock/heavy metal).

  • hammer bravo

  • it's not the true theme

  • @lepine840202

    no it's Stochelo's one.

  • next time that x factor shit comes out let's get this to number 1

  • this music is more crazy than flamenco :D

  • Stop asking for tab! He's playing it in front of you, if you are not willing to put in the work you don't deserve to play GJ

  • Amazing!! Very nice guitarplaying!!

  • Is this an exercise song from one of his DVDs or something? It looks like a great warmup for playing!

  • Stochelo is the MASTER!!!

  • WHAT IS NAME OF SONG ?

  • pls i want this tab if u got it !!!!??

genial song ! send me at basil789@hotmail.fr

  • I've been playing around with that one fast catchy riff...and it works perfectly with economy picking (on the string-changeing upstrokes). I know thats not the "true" way to play it, but try it out, its way faster and more effecient if you can't practice 4-12 hours a day, lol.

  • hey guys, can anyone post a slow motion video of this... or does anyone know of a link with tab and picking directions. I'm baffled as to his right hand pickin on those patterns.... cheers to all who love gypsy jazz!

  • @flamencodiablo007 there is a powertab at ultimate guitar :)

  • Extreme shred!!! Badass genre!!!

  • perfection ....

  • Minchia!

  • questo calcia culi!...

  • hij lijkt op Frans Bauer!!!!

  • His technique and phrasing is flawless

  • i think he plays it realy well, and he can't read notes, so he does it with his feeling

  • Ceci, s'appelle du Jazz Manouche :)

  • Is he picking everything?

  • Yes, Si, Oui

  • How long did it take you to realize that? Couple of days?

  • Not long, really. At first I thought he may have been playing the bass line on open strings at points.

  • I just do not see where you get that opinion. I merely started the video, saw a single person in the frame, and then switched to a different one before he had played much. It is not unimaginable that someone could perform this piece solo without playback. When I switched back to the window with this video in it, I realized after a few seconds what he was really doing.

  • In my opinion, you are a complete retard for continuing to debate anything on a youtube video. Stochelo is easily the best guitar player alive not including Bireli of course :D But nobody can play the backup and the lead with 2 hands. It was a dumb comment and you paid the price for it. Defending yourself makes no sense. Just man up and say it was a dumb question, or else I'll call stochelo here to bash you over the head and pee on you.

  • @eugenecraddock Why because this is a fast song?

  • You also forget Moreno bolero who is as good as bireli, if not better

  • @sintygypsy

    Te ave baxtalo!

  • @sintygypsy I might be dredging up old water, here, but I never really check my comment replies. No, I maintaing my original comment. You have obviously not seen much classical guitar (or even Stephen Bennett) if you defend that it is impossible to play the backup and the lead simultaneously. It would require an alternative tuning, an extra string, or partial capos, and it would definitely require fingerpicking, but it is most definitely possible. I'll put it on my to-do list.

  • @Baltam314 Or maybe it requires a loop recorder and an Macintosh with garage band while you at it because mechanized pseudo-art seems to be what for you pretentious new age yuppie cocksuckers. And classical guitarists don't call it "backup and lead" you shit head. Backup. What is this? Corporate planing on gypsy jazz?

  • @CroissantOrange I was using the nomenclature introduced by the previous commenter to refer to the specific parts of this piece in a way that he would understand. I do not understand where you derive the rest of your argument, or how you expect anyone to parse it.

  • Waoouu! impressionnant!

  • Hi everyone, be sure to check out Stochelo's forthcoming DVDs, "Palying in the style of Stochelo Rosenberg" (probably a 2-disc DVD) and "Gipsy Waltzes"... Release early summer 2009 !

  • now i know where the simpsons theme got the inspiration from :D

  • wow -- I never made that connection before, but the similarities are remarkable. Maybe Danny Elfman owes Django some royalties!

  • haha yes could be :)

  • it's just because it's built on the whole tone scale It's used often in gipsy jazz

  • pffffffff :P

  • :DDD

this isnt jazz for me btw. this is good music. the 1955 big band stuff is jazz, at least thats what "jazzers" say and thast what you must love, otherwise you wont be able to be a "jazzer". pfffff to the jazz scene :D at least switzerland stucks, really.

  • Sounds like Trumpton on acid.

  • the immortal Django Reinhardt wrote this tune in 1941!!!!!!!!! Stochelo's rendition is flawless and awesome! by the way CUBENSIS: there is a transcription in the book, DJANGO REINHARDT ANTHOLOGY (a hal leonard product) at 14.95 it's a bargain if you can decifer standard notation. It has transcriptions of 65+ "heads" as played by Django and/or Stephane.

  • That's an excellent book, I have it and it's been invaluable to me. It also has transcriptions of a few of Django's improvised solos, which are quite fun once you get them under your fingers.

  • Óh my God this arts!

  • Dang!

  • WOW!

  • you rock

  • does anyone have the music or tabulature they can link to me???? plz respond if so

  • got a powertab file of it i can email ya

  • Everything thinks they have to play this song 140% faster than Stochelo but Stochelo plays it the best at a nice perfect slower speed and with feeling. Good job Stochelo.

  • This is slow?! Damn.

  • hahaha yeah. its a lesson :P

  • I stopped with my lessons...............pfffffffffff.

  • Nice !

  • Lord Jesus! What would have done Django if he could've used the other two fingers too.

  • i have to agree that this music is ahead of its time cause right now i think that was fricking annoying. a bunch of staccato hammer-ons and no feeling. reinhardt à la yngwie malmsteen.

  • 1936... berlin's olympiads... french front populaire... beginning of spanish civil war... and... THAT!!! even in 2036 it will be far ahead of this time!

  • (<o>.<o>)woooooooooooooooooot

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • holy shit is that possible!

  • Je suis sur le cul putain...

    Ca déchire!!!!!!!!!!

  • ....becouse you cant play it? :):)

  • dam this song is shit, and annoying

  • lol

  • superb

  • no i live in marseille and soryy if i don't like stochelo i prefer tchavolo and bireli

  • Nice comment ... you must be a young french guy ..and possibly a parisian dude ...

  • man, I love most gipsy jazz, but this song is really annoying and horrible to listen to...and it sticks to your mind

  • haha! that's so funny! cuz the guitar playing is totally mind blowing, and i love it! yet it's so annoying at the same time and it really does stick to your mind! i agree!

  • this is the shit! I love the delta blues, and this gypsy stuff is really giving me some ideas to spice up my blues stuff. Hell yeah!!

  • Live version of this song in Samois festival is incredible with the solo and everything.

  • haha this was funny

  • This is the same tune played by Jimmy Rosenberg as an intro to Limehouse Blues on that N.Y. Django festival CD in 2000 or 2001. Great stuff.

  • ill try this in next guitar lesson...good luck?!

    hehe you re plaing awesome

  • BRAVO!

  • Django is a god, and this sounds like something out of a Bugs Bunny toon lol...rosenberg is my fav, then django, then lagrene

  • Holy cow! Stochelo is one of my favorite jazz guitarists of all time, definetly!

  • Anyone got the tab for this or know what this is called Stochelo is one seriously sick guy, amazes me everytime

  • give me your email.... I've got django's version and stochelo's one...

  • @zogluck Hi, I'm looking for the transcription of Rhythme Futur. If you could help a young musician I would be more than glad.

  • imagine that django did this with only TWO fingers o_O

  • is... that a... playalong!?!?

oh my!!! Where is the slow function!? kkk

    AMAZING!!!

  • impeccable!
