@Saudadebrasil07 Her name was Marpessa Dawn and she died in 2008 at the age of 72 only 42 days after the guy she is starring with. They both died of heart attacks.

Such a fantastic movie! Colors and camerawork are brilliant. The story telling of love and everyday life will never go out of fashion ....
It's hard to believe that this movie is more than 50 years old ... :-)
