Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. Evolution has NOTHING to do with the origin of species of the origins of the universe. You're thinking of abiogenesis (origin of species) and the Big Bang. Evolution does NOT state we came from apes. We are related, but we did not evolve directly from apes. Evolution has zero evidence? There is evidence all over. Open your fucking eyes. Read a science book. Go to a museum. The theory of quantum mechanics and the theory of relativity together help us understand how universes could have formed out of nothing. Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist. It is not necessary to invoke god to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going.

The idea that some people consider god as a "force" or what have you, isn't really correct. God is viewed as a being. Whether he's incorporeal or a personal being is up for debate by theists. Personally, I couldn't care less.

In regards to explaining consciousness, I really can't say. And the origins of the universe is still a mystery, but I am in favor of the Big Bang Theory obviously. It is much more realistic than a magic man creating it with the snap of his finger(cont)
