I think part of what makes the ending so sad is that, in all the episodes of Freakazoid, you really get a sense of how much the cast and crew cared about this show. For all its craziness, a lot of effort went into making Freakazoid, and I bet the creators had as much fun making it as we did watching it. :'(

It really is very sad that Freakazoid got cancelled after this episode... It definitely had the potential to go for many more seasons... In fact, it probably would have if the network hadn't been constantly changing the show's time slot, thus preventing Freakazoid from hitting its fanbase and getting better ratings.
It was, without a doubt, one of television's stupidest moments to cancel this awesome cartoon...
I actually cried at the song at the end cause i know we'll never meet again on some sunny day. Goodbye Freakazoid goodbye 90's goodbye all that was awesome about cartoons i wish you had another season.

The reason why this show got cancelled was because kids (us) did not get the reference and jokes that they made. It was more made for adults that was directed to kids.
God, this is so sad. I wish there was more for me to watch. I started and finished the entire series in three days. That's an accomplishment. That promise had better be kept. I really do hope Freakazoid comes back in some way, shape or form very soon.

You know what is the most saddest thing about this episode is? It has to have a grand finale and even teases us about him coming back again which never happens. Which is so sad. This show was great. I dont know, but there should be a petition to bring it back.

@tylerkliewer REally, I shall give it a look. No offense though, but would it be a bad idea. Over the decade since this came on, animation has changed alot and wat are the chances of the same voices returning to reprise their respective roles.
@RisingVictor I agree that making new episodes has the potential to be really awful, especially if the original voice actors don't return. It would be nice if the petition could get some channel to start showing re-runs again, and maybe a movie (not live-action), but I wouldn't say to bring the whole series back. This late, I feel like it wouldn't be quite as good.

@ztslovebird I have, they're all garbage. Well majority of them. The voice of Freakazoid, Paul Rugg, was also incharge of something else on the show. I think it was either the writing or the cast direction.
@RisingVictor He was also the writing supervisor. He wrote about half the episodes; The Chip Acts 1-4, Wrath of Gutierrez, Sewer or Later, all the Lord Bravery bits, and a few others. The other writing supervisor, John P. McCann, was also the voice of Dexter's dad.
@RisingVictor Only under certain circumstance, though. You can't just get ANYONE to voice Freakazoid, nor just anyone to write about his hilarious adventures/misadventures! They can ONLY bring this show back (to a very desperate-for-amazingness audience) if they bring back the ENTIRE original cast/creative team (thankfully, everyone had triple-duty, either voicing 100 characters, writing half the episodes, or working on the music) or their proteges if they have died (like for Richard Stone).

This is one of the greatest ending I have ever seen for a cartoon ! It is too bad that no channels want to bring back this show but still, we can keep this series alive by just reminding people of its existence, spread it on the internet and for some, cosplaying as Freakazoid ! He will always be part of our memories ! Now, if you will excuse me, I have to find the episodes of the Animaniacs as well as those of Pinky and Brain.

They just don't make cartoons like they used to. We used to have shows like Freakazoid, Doug, Hey Arnold.
Now we have Chowder and The Misadventures of Flapjack. It is truly saddening.

You know what is the most saddest thing about this episode is? It has to have a grand finale and even teases us about him coming back again which never happens. Which is so sad. This show was great. I dont know, but there should be a petition to bring it back.

@RisingVictor I totally agree I think based on how they showed everyone at the end, like it really is a show of a show, breaking the ultimate fourth wall, I'm guessing they knew they'd be cancelled, hence why they said they don't know when they'll meet again - Only two seasons Such a young show It should SOOO come back

Without the music of Richard Stone, a third season of Freakazoid wouldn't do so well. Plus, convincing Paul Rugg to come back seems impossible. :(
Though, if you visit his blog froynlaven.blogspot.com, you'll find the humor of Freakazoid lives on. :)

@tylerkliewer REally, I shall give it a look. No offense though, but would it be a bad idea. Over the decade since this came on, animation has changed alot and wat are the chances of the same voices returning to reprise their respective roles.

@RisingVictor I agree that making new episodes has the potential to be really awful, especially if the original voice actors don't return. It would be nice if the petition could get some channel to start showing re-runs again, and maybe a movie (not live-action), but I wouldn't say to bring the whole series back. This late, I feel like it wouldn't be quite as good.

@roquesand You kidding? It'd be freakin' HILAROUS!!! But only if they got what remains of the original writers/cast/composers. Should such a miracle occur, they'd be able to poke fun at "Avatar", the Disney Sitcom Disaster, Obama, the Apple company, and FINALLY make an episode (or 20) with Freakazette, Eye of Newt, and . . . the zombie cowboy guy from Relax-o-Vision!

@ztslovebird I have, they're all garbage. Well majority of them. The voice of Freakazoid, Paul Rugg, was also incharge of something else on the show. I think it was either the writing or the cast direction.

@RisingVictor He was also the writing supervisor. He wrote about half the episodes; The Chip Acts 1-4, Wrath of Gutierrez, Sewer or Later, all the Lord Bravery bits, and a few others. The other writing supervisor, John P. McCann, was also the voice of Dexter's dad.

@RisingVictor Only under certain circumstance, though. You can't just get ANYONE to voice Freakazoid, nor just anyone to write about his hilarious adventures/misadventures! They can ONLY bring this show back (to a very desperate-for-amazingness audience) if they bring back the ENTIRE original cast/creative team (thankfully, everyone had triple-duty, either voicing 100 characters, writing half the episodes, or working on the music) or their proteges if they have died (like for Richard Stone).
