makes sense actually. i have a rig i can overclock (quad core 916 AMD, liquid cooled) but I choose not to. why? in it current state my rig has a lifespan of about 8 years, by then i'll just upgrade. overclocking causes unneeded strain on a processor that is already optimized for gaming. in human terms its the same thing; why do these types of drugs knowing full well its going to fuck you royally to a very short life span?
