From a reliable source, After Paul wrote Yesterday, he was to come to Abbey Road to write up the credits, etc. He had a certain time to be there but John pulled a fast one and got there early to get his name on the record first. That's why it reads Lennon/McCartney when Paul wrote the song. SNEAKY!!! John felt threatened by Paul and his abilities and John was a pessimist, the glass was always 1/2 empty, not 1/2 full, Paul said "that was just John"! John was talented but very insecure!
