I dont count Devils Due because it's written like bad fan fiction. DD made a mess out of the mythos. Bringing in characters just to to kill them. Killing classic characters left and right. Ripping off Billy by having Destro and Zartan have long lost children. GI Joe is best when its creator Larry Hama is writing it. The DD books are like "Look at our k3w1 stories using Hama's characters!" "Ooo! Our new character Wraith beat Snake-Eyes! That means he's a badass! We rule, d00d!!!11!!one"

Lol true I am glad Larry Hama is writing them again. He said CC was one of his favorite characters. The Commander is one of my all time favorite characters and I still say I loved Chris Latta's voice as him. I recently read the Larry Hama comic where it highlights Cobra Commander running Springfield and when he hired Tomax and Xamot. In the books they were actually pretty loyal to him and the majority of the Cobra Legions would follow CC to hell and back.

Those new stories are great. The art on the other hand leaves a bit to be desired. I would have preferred Dr Binder to have a completely different look before the accident. Maybe a full beard and a combover, then shaved his head when he went nuts.

Theres a new CC in his armor out now. Its one of the nicer figures in the line. Best of all you can swap his head under the helmet with a FRED head from the CG guard in the 2-pack to make FRED VII the imposter.

I have that CC figure and the Fred VII figure. You thought of that too? I am looking forward to the Weather Dominator packs and a resculpted Cobra Commander with Mass device. He was more hardcore in the original animated mini series as well. You gotta hand it to CC he knows how to run an organization and build it up from nothing. I have one of every CC figure ever made, he is one of my favorite 80's villains. Also I loved in the 80's when he made a deal with Megatron! Now that was a team up.

Marauder Gun-Runners has a special Walther P-38 with attatchments made up specifically so Cobra Commander can weild a to scale Gun form MegatronI got a couple, its pretty badass.

Theyve also got a metric BUTTLOAD of other cool custom weapons. Google them. I reccomend their opening briefcase and Aliens Space Marine rifles.
