  • Interesting because it once again seems to prove that social stigmatization is indeed the (or one of the) most powerful incentives to make someone do something. However, I think the study is flawed in the way that the information was presented to the kids. If they had been spoken to using kid language such as saying, "There was a sick kid who got boogers all over the place and slimy, stinky whatever, etc., etc." it might have spoken more to their level of understanding and had them wash earlier

  • Good video, but the cupcakes were 'contaminated" when the children picked them up and put them back down to go wash their hands.

  • You are saying if no one gave them reasons (sick kid and germs), no signs posted, and no hand sanitizer in sight, would kids wash their hands if another kid suggested they did?

    It would be interesting to know, but doubtful you'd get 11 of 12 kids on that alone I think.
