I was stationed on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii at KMC. The first time that I laid eyes on the Kaimu Black sand beach and Kalapana itself. I truly discovered "paradise"! When I was sent back to Oahu, I kept coming back to visit the Kealoha's and whenever there was a luau at Kalapana, I was practically the first one in the car!! I got to know Uncle Robert and I met the rest of his family and I enjoyed their beautiful Hawaiian music also! It made feel Hawaiian at heart!! Aloha!!
