Free dived in all the ginnie springs, little devil, devils ear and eye, that first one goes no where but still a nice trip down. NEVER seen mudfish in there but small flounder and the occational Lost beer though. The sign inside says "people have died here...check your air.."
@pocyclips A cousin of mine was camping there and caught a huge freaking Mudfish, not kidding. I free dive there all the time, still cant touch the bottom of little devil and i almost can on devil's ear...and the eye i can do without a problem =\
@OcTaNeZerO I get the names mixed up but starting up stream nearest the dirt road, the first two I can do easy but the one neaest the river NO WAY.I need to get sealing ear plugs ( my ears flood EASY). Mudfish YES, carp, mullet, BIG eating size crawfish and also.Try dropping into the middle of the river as far up stream as you can and pay close attention to under the eel grass (like a pocket), some DECENT size bass.
@pocyclips The one near the river i can go about half way...wherever the chain is hooked too...they moved it recently I believe. Anyways, Devils eye CAN be as deep as 30 sometimes 35 feet easy due to an increase in the river....And yeah ive seen the bass and all the fish...ive swam that tube run countless times. Even saw likea 6-7 foot gator gar, it was ridiculous. Anyways, i love these springs. I can touch devils eye, half way in devils ear....and maybe halfway in little devil
@OcTaNeZerO There is a tree down there but when ever my 8 year old asks how long I can hold my breath I tell her 1:07. that was @ the Ginnie spring, I was close to black out but better can be done with practice AND a spotter (don't go it alone). Hyperventilate and relax, clear the mind, those help.
@pocyclips Yeah the tree, i think, is about 40 feet down? maybe a little more. Had some scuba diver's check it. I can hold my breath for about 2 minutes out of water, and 2 minutes in decently warm water, though that cold water makes it go to like 1 minute lol...Also depends on how fast or how strong im trying to swim, the more relaxed it is, the more time i can stay down.
