What a game! The turn-based combat was inspired, and the characters & one-liners are hilarious at times. So much depth, variety of weapons, and freedom to explore, but equally, being able to complete it within 7:34, without cheats, is one hell of an achievement, so congrats. Whenever I played this, Magic was always first on my list. In terms of value for money, he's the best all round mercenary A.I.M. has to offer. Who else could spend two days, hauling two LAWS through the desert with no sleep.

@Ohmythatspainful I'm interested in your opinion of Valkyria Chronicles. Lacks the micro-managing, but has a great battle engine which fuses real-time with turn-based. I must say I do like the look of JA2 but have yet to try it.
@floxq Jagged Alliance 2 is the best squad based tactical game ever made. Combat is *intense*. The game is also a great rpg; all the characters have strong, distinct personalities and the voice acting is top notch, the game is non-linear and you can do what you want, you can directly control 24 mercs in 4 squads.. and they can be at different places on the world map doing different things, you can train skills, train town militia, you have an ingame laptop to order weapons, etc... try it.
this is one of the best games i have ever played. unfortunately there are too many bugs in it, i couldnt finish the game :( and Magic's voice was more charismatic in JA1 :)

lol well im camping with my 18 mercs at medunas last sector. Been doing that for 2 months now. I simply dont want to go down in the cellar before either: i got a town full of veteran guards or all my mercs with all stats 99 .

When i play that game in the usual way, i always end up in fighting that bitch (including a squad of her elite soldiers) at her secret command bunker, i have never seen her inside the palace, except for the cut scenes.
can u chuck grenades through doors and windows and like down chimneys? I mean like wait by the side of the door and just lob one in not have to be in full view..

You can also shoot through one window, watch the bullet pass the kid and his mom in the living room, out the kitchen window and through that asshole's head!...Crawl around on the rooftops.. at night, yeah... in stealth mode.. dark skin, cause you just camo'd yourselves.. throw a break light on the ground and watch the bad guys come to investigate.. then toss your grenade at the lot of them, and hear one of your more squeamish mercs talk about how disgusting that was..
this can be a very easy game to exploit, as the AI is pretty weak in general. a team of 2 - 3 good snipers can take out all but the last town without taking a hit.
I have done a similar walkthrough 5 years before! It is possible but I faced a lot of mines at Meduna coasts. I also finished the game conquerring all territories without spending a bullet. I used only knifes!

@jesussavest JA2 1.13 has this "thingy" with smiley face. Actually, I was very surprised when I saw it first time, even though I've played JA2 Gold and Wildfire for years, in these you still have to pay Madam to get the prostitutes and/or get to Maria.

I have done a similar walkthrough 5 years before! It is possible but I faced a lot of mines at Meduna coasts. I also finished the game conquerring all territories without spending a bullet. I used only knifes!
