Beat this on hard...I unleashed the world's supply of ammo on this bbii...boss and I finally used a couple of sniper rounds and it died. I don't know if the sniper rifle was the weapon I should have used to begin with or whether it was a coincidence, but this boss was annoying. You have no way of telling if it's closer to dieing or not. I wonder if Half-Life 2: Episode 3 will feature Shepard. Anyway, I'm off to start Blue SHift :D

@Heliosmaster3 No it's not. It's called the Gene worm and belongs to the Race X aliens, whereas the monster in the original Half-life was called Tentacles and belonged to the Xen alien species.

It partially uses the same model though (especially the head), that's what makes them look a bit alike. But story wise, they are two unrelated species.

Sheperd is inside the plane and is being "assessed" by GMans' employers. At the end it says "Sheperd, Status: detained, further evaluation pending. So it seems he is not as important as Gordon, but may be a good asset to Gordon in further half-life games.
