I think that You should be able to hover your mouse over a video picture when searching and it will show you slideshow pictures in that spot to see if is interesting or you if want to see it.
I also think that they should have some pictures that the people can put as their icon instead of that boring one. Beacuse some people dont know how to do it.

You have put me in your description box using me as a bad example, However, I believe you have misunderstood things in my instance. I HAVE subscribed to some people's favourites who don't have videos, but this as a means of 1) learning what a cross section of people enjoy watching with the view to improving my own videos, or 2) keeping up to date on high quality videos that I may have missed otherwise or
3) because I have similar taste in some of the videos/music/animation/comedy/sport that are displayed in these people's fav's.
So, I'm presuming you plucked my name out of the air, or noticed me around recently, but I wonder if you've watched any of my videos? One of my main purposes of me making videos is to try and inspire and encourage others to make their own {creative} videos about things THEY are into....
By subscribing to them, several people have said that this encouraged them to start making videos.
I also view my subscriptions and maybe not 100% of them 100% of the time, but i dip into all the videos I'm subscribed to at one time or another if they produce regular videos.
Additionally, I comment and rate 90% of the videos I watch, and attempt to be constructive and not just say 'cool video', unless of course I thought it was a cool video and have nothing else to say.

However, people (including me and my YouTube friends) find it strange when people subscribe to others with no videos, or one favorite in their account. I recently completed an animated campaigns mini-doc that I applied, and received funding for. It is about the cut flower industry and focuses on flower farms in Africa where workers are exposed to illegal pesticides which cause infertility, leukemia and blindness.
I did not get paid to make this as the grant had to be spent on the production (quite rightly). And so, my return to YouTube was fuelled by promoting this animation that I had worked on for a year solid.
I clearly want this video to gain exposure due to the subject matter and so I put incredible effort into promoting the video. Like I mentioned before, I am new to the YT community and have had to learn things through trial and error.
I don't care what you do in your videos. Were talking about the way we do things on YouTube. I, and many many others care about people doing that because it is exploitive, wrong, selfish, and conning people into subscribing into your channel. People who subscribe to thousands basically fool people into thinking they are watching their videos, when they are really not.

Also, I've honest never watched your videos; but I'm not judging the quality of your video content, but the way you do things with your subscriptions. Yes, but you have to remember DaveMasteR999 doesn't really make videos, he just uses animated gif's he finds on GifTube. I'm also not even sure if GifTube allows people to use their gifs on videos without permission. Either way, DaveMasteR999 does make entertaining gif videos, but he exploits the subscription system, and abuses the video icon cheat in every video.
Out of the users who exploit the system, most of them make average or above videos; All except BeMyFriendPlease. When you see his videos you'll be like "WTF IS THIS SHIT!?", I can't believe so many dumbasses fell for it and subscribed to him.
Part of the reason they spam subscribe is to have their icon on people's pages that have less than 3 subscribers. I think over 250 subscriptions is already a lot. In my site eliteskills I only allow people to add 6 friends. Even though it's almost nothing the amount makes things actually meaningful. I guess some people were using it almost as a bookmark, other were just clicking subscribe to every channel they passed by as a means of being 'productive' without much effort.
Yeah thats true. I've seen channels that abuse the subscription system that claim they are watching all those videos though, but come on, there is no way someone can watch over 2000 channels at once O_o. I'm also guessing some people use subscription bots (just a theory), because someone had over 2400 subscriptions in one day.

The money is from people clicking ads to the right of the videos probably at less than 5 cents a click. Nobody clicks the ads. The autoplay and images are called "branding options" and are supposedly separate from the publisher program.

For example I say it's ok for people to use my videos in other sites as long as they credit jimmyrcom. Videos are flagged by the youtube users. If youtube intervene it's to delete the vids. no, the subscriptions only show up to page 100 (2000 people). Before it used to show higher, and JimmyRCom went up all the way to page 250 (5000 subscriptions). Watch the video I sent you man!!

I use this site for my family that lives in a different state to see my child. So as far as the subscriptions, if I don't like you or your videos I am not going to watch them.
Yeah people need consent with music, which is why I use my friend's music, that way I always have a source of music I can use with permission. But there are official music artist's with their own channel on YouTube, especially with UniversalMusic, so we can always watch a lot of good music videos :)
JP from PDX here: You bring up great points! But a lot of the things they've already changed or have added on in the past year have become either obsolete, annoying, or abused. I wish there was some way, maybe on a monthly/quarterly basis, to do a suggestion box for Youtube - something like this or the original video this is a response of. As this site evolves according to the times and technology, it ought to be aware of its faults and change accordingly and dynamically.
oh and i have a suggestion on how to improve youtube. if it was possible for everyone to promote their video, get famous etc, it probably wouldnt be neccesary to send mass friend invites, or use the "add 1000 people to subs list and hope they sub back" thingy, which, i can tell you, doenst work. tried it, just doesnt work.

You have put me in your description box using me as a bad example, However, I believe you have misunderstood things in my instance. I HAVE subscribed to some people's favourites who don't have videos, but this as a means of 1) learning what a cross section of people enjoy watching with the view to improving my own videos, or 2) keeping up to date on high quality videos that I may have missed otherwise or

So, I'm presuming you plucked my name out of the air, or noticed me around recently, but I wonder if you've watched any of my videos? One of my main purposes of me making videos is to try and inspire and encourage others to make their own {creative} videos about things THEY are into....

By subscribing to them, several people have said that this encouraged them to start making videos.
I also view my subscriptions and maybe not 100% of them 100% of the time, but i dip into all the videos I'm subscribed to at one time or another if they produce regular videos.
Additionally, I comment and rate 90% of the videos I watch, and attempt to be constructive and not just say 'cool video', unless of course I thought it was a cool video and have nothing else to say.

Wow, I can't believe I got through all those comments. But to be honest, you made some good points. However, people (including me and my YouTube friends) find it strange when people subscribe to others with no videos, or one favorite in their account. Also, if you truely watch these people, why do you hide your subscriptions? I mean you have nothing to hide right?

of course i have nothing to hide, yet if you've checked out my channel, which you obviously have, you'll realise that i'm an artist, and have put care and attention into the design of my channel. Having many boxes I believe is distracting and means blocking my BG. Why do you have such a problem with this?

ok, this is becoming tiresome. I bid you kind wishes repeatedly, yet your abuse is relentless. If you are intent on not finding out what I'm about, and as to why I have subscribed to people, then I shall try to explain.
I recently completed an animated campaigns mini-doc that I applied, and received funding for. It is about the cut flower industry and focuses on flower farms in Africa where workers are exposed to illegal pesticides which cause infertility, leukemia and blindness.

I did not get paid to make this as the grant had to be spent on the production (quite rightly). And so, my return to YouTube was fuelled by promoting this animation that I had worked on for a year solid.
I clearly want this video to gain exposure due to the subject matter and so I put incredible effort into promoting the video. Like I mentioned before, I am new to the YT community and have had to learn things through trial and error.

I, and many many others care about people doing that because it is exploitive, wrong, selfish, and conning people into subscribing into your channel. People who subscribe to thousands basically fool people into thinking they are watching their videos, when they are really not.

I have a suggestion too, "Videos being watched right now" scroller on he homepage is filled with pornography and weird languages that some of us don't know. Is this what people are mostly watching on YouTube? XXX videos? It's like an invite to people who don't watch those things in the first place "Ooooo look at what others are watching! Join them!!!"

Yes, but you have to remember DaveMasteR999 doesn't really make videos, he just uses animated gif's he finds on GifTube. I'm also not even sure if GifTube allows people to use their gifs on videos without permission. Either way, DaveMasteR999 does make entertaining gif videos, but he exploits the subscription system, and abuses the video icon cheat in every video.

Part of the reason they spam subscribe is to have their icon on people's pages that have less than 3 subscribers. I think over 250 subscriptions is already a lot. In my site eliteskills I only allow people to add 6 friends. Even though it's almost nothing the amount makes things actually meaningful. I guess some people were using it almost as a bookmark, other were just clicking subscribe to every channel they passed by as a means of being 'productive' without much effort.

Yeah thats true. I've seen channels that abuse the subscription system that claim they are watching all those videos though, but come on, there is no way someone can watch over 2000 channels at once O_o. I'm also guessing some people use subscription bots (just a theory), because someone had over 2400 subscriptions in one day.

The money is from people clicking ads to the right of the videos probably at less than 5 cents a click. Nobody clicks the ads. The autoplay and images are called "branding options" and are supposedly separate from the publisher program.

I agree with the disgusting MLM shit. Copyright I disagree. Nobody except the copyright owner should should claim copyright. For example I say it's ok for people to use my videos in other sites as long as they credit jimmyrcom. Videos are flagged by the youtube users. If youtube intervene it's to delete the vids. Youtards flag your videos based on the icon if they feel it gives you an unfair advantage getting hits.

lol hey Jimmy, thanks for the comment. Yeah I guess I'd have to agree with you that the owner should only claim copyright. I let people use my material too without my permission, as long as they credit me. As for the video icon, I notice both our videos got flagged. Bummer :(

this wouldnt be a massive improvment, but i would love it it the thumbs option was, instead of just one number. like 1/-1. it should be thumbs down this many times: 6, and thumbs up this many times: 3.
the reason for this is if you think there is a bad comment, alot of fanboys might thumbs up it so it seems like the comment is highly praised, even though its been thumbsed down alot.

no, the subscriptions only show up to page 100 (2000 people). Before it used to show higher, and JimmyRCom went up all the way to page 250 (5000 subscriptions). Watch the video I sent you man!!

Yeah people need consent with music, which is why I use my friend's music, that way I always have a source of music I can use with permission. But there are official music artist's with their own channel on YouTube, especially with UniversalMusic, so we can always watch a lot of good music videos :)

JP from PDX here: You bring up great points! But a lot of the things they've already changed or have added on in the past year have become either obsolete, annoying, or abused. I wish there was some way, maybe on a monthly/quarterly basis, to do a suggestion box for Youtube - something like this or the original video this is a response of. As this site evolves according to the times and technology, it ought to be aware of its faults and change accordingly and dynamically.

oh and i have a suggestion on how to improve youtube. if it was possible for everyone to promote their video, get famous etc, it probably wouldnt be neccesary to send mass friend invites, or use the "add 1000 people to subs list and hope they sub back" thingy, which, i can tell you, doenst work. tried it, just doesnt work.
at this point, only populair and settled youtubers get a shot at making it to the top10, its a circle thats too damn hard to break for a normal mortal :)

nice try man, but I'm 99% sure I saw your subscriptions go to page 100 earlier. I do my homework and always check if it goes to page 100. And all your comments saying "thanks for subscribing" all at once say it all for me. You probably cleaned out your subscriptions, but this is just my hypothesis.
