you fucking bitch, whom are you going to bombing? your president - Satan, which sets your hands NWO, and you have already prepared plastic graves and concentration camps. do not believe me? search the web
At 3:00 shes sitting alongside the Saratoga. I served on the Sara while in VF-74 from 87-91. Great ship!! Farewell to 2 retired Cold War warriors. Fair winds and following seas.
I am looking for anyone who has great photos of the Forrestall. I have a friend who was on the carrier sometime during the vietnam erra and I need a copy of a great photo so I can have the photo laser printed on a wall sized heavy canvas. Some of you may know him and served with him. Let me know if you can help.
The only ship I remember as a kid at the Norfolk shipyard...dad retired onboard her in July 1972 CPO/BTC after serving 20 years in the USN...he was a snipe...boilerman...I have the hats...the cruise books...the "First In Defense" patches, and even the yellow smiley face pins...8mm footage that dad was always recording...quite a ship for him to end his service onboard. Farewell Forrestal....and thank you!
I was on the FID in 1988 thru 1990. I was in V-1/ Air assigned to the Mighty Fly-3 On the IO cruise. I remember BENO station all so well along with the heat and long days of flight operations
I live very close to these 2 massive carriers. Newport is home of the Naval War College but it is not the big navy base it was years ago. I know funds are being sought to make a museum out of these ships. Too bad the nearby Battleship Cove (USS Massachusettes) Museum couldn't find the space to keep her. Fall River MA, is only about a 10 to 15 minute ride from where they are now.
My father was on the forrestal in 1960 and he is trying to find out what has become of her, if you have any current info on what is going to happen to the forrestal please send me a message thks
@Exmech2 I heard the same thing I know there was a last ditch effort to try to turn her into a museum but I think her day are numbered. It is sad to think of this fine Ship being sunk into a watery grave.
my father also served on Forrestal in 1969-70, they were going to make her a museum, but the funding was no there and the navy took her off of donation hold, and navsea is preping her for sinking. It really is a shame, i looked forward to visiting her with my Dad.

Forrestal was decommissioned in '93. Because her design elements are still considered secret, she'll be sunk in deep water for fish propagation.
