Do you think any of the other characters can do a faster superspeedrun? My first guess is that Toad's maxed out speed would shave a few seconds off your time. Then again, you have to manually select anybody other than Mario, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was worth the time/effort/whatever.

Well, face it. This is probably harder than a normal speedrun. Have you tried to speedrun before? Everything comes up too fast. This takes practice. If you ask me this is entering a new era of speedrunning, in which we see who can survive the higher speeds of gameplay.

That'd normally be impossible, but here Mario falls so fast (for fast jumps) that he can fall through everything ...

Cheating is the whole -point- of tool-assisted speedruns;  you cheat to eliminate the limitation of human skill. To function like a perfect player.

Once you do that, it lets you get at the real point - exploring the theoretical limits of the game. In this case; exploring how fast it can possibly be done even with hacks.
