@DjDiSiix, a year ago they used to say Galaxy S 1 was the best and the fastest. But this is a very slow smartphone out, my Nokia N91 was quicker. @DjDiSiix It isn't.. whatsoever.. there LOTS of videos wich the S II smokes the S II.. the problem of the Sensation is that Qualcomm Dual Core is 2X a Cortex A8 clocked at 1.2 GHz.
The Exynos is 2X a Coretx A9 clocked at 1.2 GHz.. thats why it smoked the Sensation ;)

@jayr122001 yeah jay... there is one BIG thing that differentiate HTC desire HD with Iphone and BB is... we can always turn off our mobile internet ( lets say we're go for outing and just want to spare the battery for phone calls and video recording), the telco line won't stop... unlike BB and iphone.. if u turn off the mobile internet.. the telco line also OFF.. which means your friends cannot contact your number at all. :)

Am I the only person that noticed how much faster the Samsung GPU was? And therefore couldn't give 2 craps about the benchmark score? The samsung was hitting double the FPS of the HTC in the 3D room scene at the start... HTC GPU FAIL.
Personally, I'd stick with a snapdragon because games that you would see the performance boost in are the big games (Dungeon Defenders) and other Unreal games. Can't go wrong with either one though.

@TheNeckKutta no such thing as a lagfix on the desire hd, the scores shown are what you get with the phone as it comes from the shop, 1800 is normal for a desire hd. After overclocking to 1.8ghz my desire hd gets 3600!!!
indeed no lagfix, but eh, galaxy s is almost a year old! still it gets compared with new mobile phones. After a year it still has the best screen. This is a very good, and nice phone, it rocks indeed :D No phone is on the market with such huge succes this long as the Galaxy S!!

You have to use a custom kernel.
With DarkCore 2.9.2 and Voodoo Lagfix i got 2000 with my galaxy s.
The speed issues are firmware related on the galaxy s, the hardware is pretty good.

The colours are to a minimum because in another benchmark against the SGS, it actually had better colour than the HTC Desire HD.

Am I the only person that noticed how much faster the Samsung GPU was? And therefore couldn't give 2 craps about the benchmark score? The samsung was hitting double the FPS of the HTC in the 3D room scene at the start... HTC GPU FAIL.

wow, never saw a sgs running that slow man, and i've sold around 15 of them..
Within 3 minutes the phones is rooted and lagfixed, resulting in 1800+ points..
check nexus s, they fixed the jig results, meaning the sgs could get around 3k without overclocking, running on CM could result in 3k5 :)
shame that the available ram is limited by the awseom gpu!

It's because samsung hasn't included JIT boost on the samsung galaxy S. If they would then the scores wud be diffrent. :P

Personally, I'd stick with a snapdragon because games that you would see the performance boost in are the big games (Dungeon Defenders) and other Unreal games. Can't go wrong with either one though.

sorry fag boy...may be overclocked, rom using jit, or anything of the sort...the desire has been out for bout a year as the mesmerize has only been out for a few months...try not being a dick to ppl when you correct what they say asshole

@TheNeckKutta no such thing as a lagfix on the desire hd, the scores shown are what you get with the phone as it comes from the shop, 1800 is normal for a desire hd. After overclocking to 1.8ghz my desire hd gets 3600!!!

indeed no lagfix, but eh, galaxy s is almost a year old! still it gets compared with new mobile phones. After a year it still has the best screen. This is a very good, and nice phone, it rocks indeed :D No phone is on the market with such huge succes this long as the Galaxy S!!
