You are right, the concept is the same though. Gear oil or ATF still should be changed. When I made this comment it was before I changed the fluid in mine, I have to use Mercon III in mine.
@mythril4 You have a point, I have the same trans as this truck. Year older truck nearly the same actually. Good truck. Sadly the fuel pump just died, and i have to drop the tank and fix it. Gotta love manuals none the less.
I have a 1992 as well, actually it is a great running truck! Mine is only a 4 speed manual though :(, but the 302 performs awesome. I had to replace my fuel pump a few months ago, the tank was easy. What really annoyed me though was that you can't just buy the tiny pump module for this truck, you have buy the whole plastic container too which makes it cost more.
Hey Derrick..... I couldn't hear too much wrong with it in the video.. My thinking is, if the truck is old, then it's going to make "some" noise... There's some stuff they make for rear ends to silence them.. A little 4 oz. bottle of liquid.. Maybe that would work for this situation? Good Video..
its ironic i just made a vid of my 1998 ford f250 xl2 but mine is an automatic so i dont have that problem but when i got it the torque converter was bad it had a huge crack in it an it would drive fine until it warmed up and the crack expanded an tranmission fluid went shitting out onto the highway lol but it was simple fix. BONDO LOL JK
damn man, doesnt sound too good but atleast it isnt really bad
hopefully it doesnt get worse
i know with my s10 4 banger when i used to put her in reverse it would grind like a mother fucker and i looked it up and people said all you have to do is put it into 2nd or 4th before you put it in reverse and it actually worked
i have the same problem i cant figure out anything on how to fix it

You do change the GEAR OIL from time to time do you not? That is meshing gears with little to no oil.
