@349ninja Yes you can, but they must be amplified, such as the units available from Logitech. I installed a Subwoofer with 2 satellite units and it really takes advantage of the superb audio the imac generates through iTunes !

It defies reason that the USB ports are on the back of the iMac. Not only is it inconvenient to access the ports, but it makes it more likely that users will leave cables connected to the iMac, so as not to need to struggle to reconnect the cables, over and over again. Thus, cables will constantly clutter the work space of this supposedly streamlined computer. What's the point of wireless mouse & keyboard when there will be so many cables dangling from the back of this computer?

@applc014 Thats not true. You can easily plug in a standard usb mouse and use that or enable right click for the magic mouse. It can do this because it is touch based and can sense the right side of the mouse.

I'm hopefully going to get this computer in a couple months. At first I respected the Great Three (Linux, Windows, and OS X) But if you're anything short of a programmer, good luck with linux, and I didn't have a problem with windows until it randomly decided to run the system repair out of nowhere and fuck up my computer. Macs are the ONLY computer that haven't given me any issues!

alright, so the lowest imac model costs: $1199. All the parts (including screen) would cost you give or take about $482. So that means you're paying $717 for the Apple logo.

After getting viruses twice on my PC, I am very persuaded into getting a Mac. Handled them before at school and at friends' houses, and I must say they are just absolutely gorgeous. However, I do wish Macs had the compatibility of PC's in terms of software and programs, but I guess that just takes getting used to. Definitely will be keeping this in my sights when I go off to college in a few years.

@linkanklinkan Yeah, they have USB hook-ups for regular wired mouses/keyboards and if you get wireless ones you will need them to be bluetooth controlled. Then you just click the bluetooth icon and search for that device...it should be as easy as that.

@112194hj I have the £969 ($1,199) The main difference is the HD is 1TB in the $1,499 and you can easily get a external HD for cheap. So I would recommend the $1,199 and if you have the money to spare you can upgrade it using the checkboxes when you purchase. e.g. upgrade to 8gb ram
