  • were you at plymouth last week with Uli?

  • One of the greatest solos ever recorded IMO.

    Great job.

  • Hi!! can you tell me what chords did you play from 0:30 to 0:37??

    thank you!

  • Awesome job and i'm glad to hear playing by ear ....no cheating

  • @DrGit Thank you so much.

  • Hi!!Please, send me the tabs,I want to try play it, My E-mail writetill@yahoo.se Peter in Sweden

  • @peter426509 II'm not using Tabs.I playing by the ear always.Thank you for watching!

  • This guy can play, no question about that. But to say that he nails this one, and play it as good as Mr Roth does (in fairness to Roth) is to go to far. Like the fact that you made your own background music. I would like you to give it another go 4 years later.

    With no disrespect to anyone.

  • I really think that you are a brilliant player no mather what anyone says.

Yeah sure Uli did it first, but that doesnt make you a worse player. It just shows that you gives Uli cred for what he compose and the fact that you can play it as good as he does.

I´ve been follow Uli for 30 years of my life and as far i as belive, This is the best solo cover i ever heard thrugh the years.

    Amen!!

  • I really love it my friend! 5 stars

  • I just got a swell!

  • I love your accuracy, but like your other Uli video you left out what I consider to be crucial glissando's (slides) from position to position in the early parts of the solos; parts that I believe give them a free flying quality. Other than that, extremely well done!

  • One of the single greatest gtr solos ever played IMO. I have the tabs for this. It ain't easy! Nice job!

  • absolutely fantastic. check out my 1972 fuzzwah demo. enjoy

  • Great version!

Scorpions no "Picture Life" wo yattemiru no ha dou deshou ka.

  • 是非実演をお見せいただきたいですね(^ω^)

    尚、これは"敢えてリアのみ"でやっております。

  • @kukenifittanful

Thank you so much ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!

  • nice! uli would be proud

  • gooooooooooooooooood shit bruva :)

  • Wow. Awesome. I've been trying to learn a bit of this solo myself. You've got it near perfect. What are the effects u are using? In some parts of the solo it sounds like he's playing an electric violin.

  • great job

ummm did u make the backing track urself or was it from the song coz i can't find a version of this song

  • uli jon roth king of the strat!

  • is this guy better than Roth?

  • No he is not. He could or might be. Being able to copy a guy's work doesn't translate to being a better player. After all Uli did the original. Gotta say thanks to hayatebune

though. Excellent job. After not hearing this for many years I listened to Uli today. Saw him a few months back in Baltimore. Fantastic. Hayatebune, thanks for putting it out there. Very entertaining. Will see your other stuff too!

  • I love uli :)

    cool man

  • Wow, very clean playing!

    Very impressive :)

  • Very nice take on it. 8)

  • Suke Kentaro-san!!! Incredible playing!!! please send more Uli Roth solos! Thanks again you rock

  • Very good job! This is an extremely hard solo to play up to Uli's speed and as clean. I recently did this solo as well. Please check out my video.

  • Man, this is just very very well played. You are really great.

  • Thank you so much.

  • Any chance you would play "Cast away your chains" like this? I know you play it on a concert video, but how about a video like this?

  • A lotta work

  • Hello I am a fan of jon roth and I play for 3 years of the guitar I would like to know if you arrange tablatures of still so many lives away ( gp4 ) or if you could send them to me because I do not know how to read the music or can etre make a video in slows down because you you are very good and I see nothing in the fact I am francais and j live in Toulon thank you if you can make that for me bye bye kzimodo83

  • I envy your playing!lol Is that a YJM strat?

  • Just beautiful,I get a great feeling everytime I watch this clip, thank you again and again!

  • never get bored of this c: it rocks my socks ! u kick ass

  • Well done!!! good tone and technique...

  • Thank you,i'm honored.

  • WOW! Anyone who can play Uli that well is going places! I think the man himself would have to be impressed! Great playing, man! Let's have more!

    Keep rocking!

  • Thank you so much.

  • Yeah!

  • Thanks for the comment

  • awsome.. had to watch this again..waiting for cast away your chains..if you dare ..lol..excellent

  • "Cast away your chains" ;) The video by which I am playing it is here(LIVE DIGEST)

    Thank you so much!

  • You some day may have your name in lights with the likes of Hendrix, Akira, Malmsteern and Roth.

  • haha X) Thank you Domo Arigato.

  • sorry,my reply is late X(

Thank you always :) Domo Arigato!

  • Dude!! you are excellent! Continue to play guitar .( my fender is scalloped like yours.I did it myself when i was

19 years old back in '86.pretty good job . I couldnt' afford an "yngwie model".

  • my reply is late X( sorry.

    Thank you so much,ARIGATO!

  • Excellent playing of a classic solo!!

  • sorry,my reply is late X(

    Thank you!

  • Thnx man... Great job... Did u know that this Solo got Uli into history 4 creating some new techniques in it, which i think z the "sweeping" technique. this solo was recorded in 1978-79! My op. z Uli Jon Roth & Ritchie Blackmore are the greatest guitarists ever!!!

  • I agree,Roth/Blackmore is really great!

    I love them...respecting forever.

    Thank you so much.

  • That was MAGNIFICENT!!! Well done!

  • i'm honored, and thank you.

  • Good job, one of Uli's hardest solos. Rock on.

  • Thank you so much,Arigatogozaimasu!

  • Damn, saw it again - really nice

  • Thank you so much and UJR is God.

  • Damn,

I've always admired UJR...he is the reason why I started with music and this interpretation is really good - thanks for keeping the music of UJR alive and well...Cheers mate

  • I agree!UJR is really great...I love his music.Thank you,Domo Arigato.

  • So Sick!

  • haha xD right.

  • nothing special...not bad!

  • Damn,

This solo has everything that a solo should have. The way that UJR captures his melodic intent with technique and creative ideas is just awesome. You say it's nothing special - just food for thought, did you see those sweeping arpeggios, what makes this special is that Uli was doing this before Yngwie came on to the scene. Uli along with Blackmore are the ones that began the Neoclassical Shred Scene. Special? Your damn right it was special...

  • Thank you for the comment,Domo Arigato.

  • that is insane! *bows down*

  • ArigatoGozaimasu THX

  • WOW! That's always been my fave Uli Roth solo but I've never seen a vid of anyone playing the song, not even Uli. Learning this solo has always been an unrealized pipe-dream of mine - and you do it flawlessly! 'Scuse me now, it's time to just burn my guitar...8^/ Bravo!

  • huge thanks!!;) I had seen ULI play this. however,it was a pirate video.the video quality was awful, because his hand not seen.xD haha

  • I will when I have the chance :)

  • yeah^^you must be ;)

  • wow I like this one alot reminds me of something although I don't know what lol anywho everyone who seen this one is congratulating the crap out of you lol

  • Hi there. Uli Jon Roth must be a really excellent, and brilliant guitarist.you check it out!(:

  • Please forgive my late answer.x(

I have not received the lesson, and are all self-studys.I have been playing the guitar for 20 years or more. The practice is "Sometimes" now.x) Thanks!

  • Great Playing ! It's not easy to play Ulirich Roth so that shows how well you have learned your instrument.

He is a very dificult lead arranger as well as Jason Becker was when he was playing.

We all would like to hear some of your original music. I know it will be good !

  • Ahh ! I found some of your music. You will do good in the future so keep playing and composing !

  • Oh thank you so much! Yes, I promise. Please watch HAYATEBUNE!

  • correctly! Uli's melody is beautiful but Play is very difficult! He is really great^^

  • duuude !!!! that's amazing !!!

  • Thank you ;) domo arigato

  • haha^^thanks!I agree.

  • You did an excellent job playing that solo. I have the album which was recorded in 1978 and {in my opinion} That solo that Uli did on Earthquake blew away just about anything on Van Halen 1

  • Thank you so much!domo arigato!

  • regarding the comment about John Coltrane, i have to disagree. john coltrane came up with all originals, citing not only musical notation, but also vocal inflection, a true mastermind. although this guy might be grand, i hardly think that he is worthy of such a grand comparison.

  • Truly great playing,Uli is my favorite player of all time, and you nailed him. I also loved all the other things you've posted. You are a very gifted guy,I look

forward to checking out whatever else you're working on. Any chance of you trying Just another rainbow or some of the old Scorpions stuff like Catch your train or Crying days? That would be pretty damn cool.

  • oh Thank you so much!yeah, Uli is sooooo excellent!HAYATEBUNE do the LIVE next month. I playing the music of Uli at that time.^^

  • Cool.will you be putting any of it on Youtube?

If so,what other Uli material will you be playing?

  • I scheduled "Cast away your chains"^^

I hope good performance and shooting....is done so, UP will be done.x)

  • great copy of that solo, any other like FIREWIND?well done dude!

  • Ah!FIREWIND also wonderful! I likely to do some time. lol thx :)

  • VERY GOOD PLAYIN ...A1

  • Thank you Mr^^

  • fucking sweet bro

  • fuckin' THX (^^)

  • yeah, uli's music is involving the soul.

  • You're welcome, bro :) is that a Chapman Stick in the background?

  • ah,that is "Silent Guitar" by YAMAHA :)

  • oh,i thought about it :D

  • Excellent playing, hayatebune. This is one of my all time favorite Uli solos.

  • thank you :)

Uli is really wonderful and Excellent.

  • Regarding the Metheney solo link: there's so much to learn about music from that solo alone. The complexity of rhythm and melody, the connection of musical thoughts in real time - a spontaneous creation. The whole thing is a journey with an emotional thread that ties it all together. Not even John Coltrane could create that large and connected a group of musical thoughts spontaneously. Metheny is one of the great musicians of our time.

  • I checked it. he is excellent :)

I promise.I'll devote myself ever, for my own music.thank you again!

  • I like the fact that you found and perfected this solo. It's one of my favorite rock solos of all time. About 10 years ago I discovered Pat Metheney and he completely changed the way I thought about music and the guitar. Check out this improvised solo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG502TOcG0A

  • yokudekimashita!

  • haha xD ARIGATOU!

  • thumbs up!

  • THX!

  • ok i'm stand lol

  • nice, now grow your hair out get in front of a croud and be a rock star

  • haha, should I get to long hair? xD thanks to your comment.

  • My favorite of you ! Domo ! As U said the melody is very nice ; with all the "jumps" between bass and high notes (I don't know if I express myself very well, I can't do better...).

    Thank U ! I can't stop watching... ahhhh!

And... What is the instrument with the large neck in the background ?

  • exactly!your comment is adequate. In this melody, a big jump of the interval is a point. you are so nice ;)

ah,"large neck" is [Silent Guitar] by YAMAHA. Thank you again :)

  • Uli is the master and you play wonderfully. thank you for posting. Do you know if there is guitar tablature music available to learn this song?

  • yeah, uli is great! and thank you.:)

ah sorry,i'm not using TAB....all that catched by the ear.

  • Ill give you $50 for that goldtop strat behind you ..;) nice playing btw ,

  • haha,that gold is a favorite.xD THX!

  • Well done. I haven't heard this one but I am a fan of Uli's stuff. You should turn the guitar up next time so we can hear you.

  • yeah, wonderful melody!ULI is really great!

    and :D<THX for you!

  • Really nice. This time your guitar sound more than the music(that's good). I think this song is in your mainpage of hayatebune. Am i right?

  • haha,it is because there is a common feature in his and my melody perhaps.;D

  • never ceases to amaze me. lol

  • oh yeah? lol

    UJR is brilliant.

  • very brilliant. you did him justice. ;)

  • i want "SKY"...but it is expensive. x/

    http://www.ulijonroth.com/sky/music/sky_guitar_1.htm

  • oh that thing sounds so cool. you should save up, most likely a lot. how much is it? i read all the info on it, wow. x)

  • Price of sky guitar

    6string Model.......about $31000

    7string Model.......about $33000

    x(((((

  • If it is Japanese yen....

    3500000 yen

    3800000 yen

    orz....

  • HOLY CRAP! yeah that is expensive. too much for a guitar. whoa thats a lot. well youll just have to get rich and famous with hayatebune and make a ton of money then. lol
