  • I was here. I liked your video. It is fun to watch these. My batteries went dead or I ran out of memory. That always happens to me.

  • Awesome vid and Thanks for Posting My Friend ! Thumbs Up

    TCB DANNY

  • @dmljm Thank you, sir :-)

  • Oh, and I almost forgot, who's the ETA at the start of the video? He's really good, but I don't recognize him at all, plus it's always fun getting turned onto new ETA's, like this guy.

    Peace and love,

    Allison

  • The executive lounge, aka the port-a-potty, lol, that's a good one man, lol. But oh man I wish I could go, but I live in Wisconsin, which is right next to Michigan, but last time I checked, cars don't drive on lakes, so it would be a long dam hassle of a drive, (and I would have to find someone who wants to go with me since I don’t drive, and never been interested in driving at all). But wow, I'd love to see Leo Days, because he's my all-time favorite ETA.

  • @allisonthecat The man at the beginning is Matt King. I'm sorry to say that Leo has moved on to bigger things and may not join us next year (which also may be our last).

    Thanks for watching, Allison :-)

  • who is this singing " it's now or never"???? this guy is really good!

  • @TheLovingelvis That's Matt King.

  • I will flip out if I see me on your clips.

  • I will flip out if I see me on your clips.

  • I will flip out if I see me on your clips.

  • Matt King is the best I've seen.

  • Hey you..

thank you sooo much for this great vid!

Elvis, the only King, America ever had, be proud of it!

    That's allright Mama!!

    Greetings from Germany

    Joe

  • Thanks for watching, Joe! Glad you enjoyed it :-)

  • I'm not a big Elvis fan but this was such a cool video it actually makes me want to go to the festival. And you know what I liked most about it? You took us BACKSTAGE! That was awesome.

  • That's always the way it happens here in Michigan. They predict rain. It doesn't happen.

They call for sun and yeah, it rains. These great bodies of water make it very difficult for meteorologists, they never know if water will get picked up or not.

  • Hail to the king lol :)

  • Hahaha! The "executive lounge." Hahaha!

I was waiting to see your handsome face

    on this video.

    Loves,

    Mooz

  • I cut that out :-) I don't look well in pink.

  • Shame on you! You look FAB in any color!

    Loves,

    Mooz

  • How did I miss this one?

wow! He is a great Elvis impersonator and a wonderful singer. what is a "tridge?" A combo of a bridge and a tressle?

That guy in the Hawaiian shirt is hot!

    He has great legs!

Thanks for the trip! I was in Detroit one time on a stop-over.

    Leo is good too.

    Loves,

    Mooz

  • A "Tridge" is a three-way footbridge.

  • Oooh, a three-way! Hahahaha!!!

    Loves,

    Mooz

  • I'm keen on anyone or anything that draws a crowd. That's really what I go for, to people watch.

  • The first Elvis on this video looks and sounds so much like the real one; they were all great though. I have a friend that's a huge Elvis fan and she would have loved to be in the audience watching all the Elvi at that fest :) Too bad Michigan is kind of far from us.

  • Adriana, the first Elvis is Matt King: He is definitely one of the best tribute artists. He does a killer Roy Orbison, too.

  • Well aren't you the popular guy! Everyone knows you! :)

    Looked like lots of fun!

  • Nah, I'm not popular but we've all worked together for over 10 years.

  • This was great!! So nice to see the younger Elvis was also represented!!

  • Danny, thanks for watching. I'm glad TA's pick different eras of his life, too. Two days and nights of nothing but gaudy jumpsuits might be a bit much.

  • Now that's some hot Elvis!

  • Elvis is always fun, great video

  • Marc, funny my sister and I just saw Elvis in Legends In Concert a few weeks ago. I thought the impersonator we saw was terrific, but after watching all these different Elvises, I'm just awestruck, some looking so much like the King himself.

What did you ever do with all that testosterone and hip pumping action around you, Marc?

    Ha ha!!

(Knowing you, probably sedately amused by the spectacle, am I right?)

  • Not sure I'd say "sedately" lol

  • Oh ...looks like you had a really great time... and one of those guys really looked like Elvis...woo hoo...can you imagine living every day looking like him...

  • Thanks for posting this, now I just have to let my parents know about it.I only live 30 minutes from there.:)

  • Jamie, thanks for watching. The same group is puttin on a Jamboree in Sept.

  • Awesome... Marc

  • Thank you Cory :-)

  • I bet wat we can't see is that you were you waring sideburns and your hair a la Elvis too!

This was great! Boy was that second Elvis waring lively pants!

  • haha! Busted!

(No, that wouldn't be me. But there are plenty of visitors who DO dress the part and I love photographing them.)

  • Interesting...DESPITE the fact the video kept sticking whihc made viewing frustrating...I love these virtual tours with people like yourself...

  • That happens to me all the time. It's very frustrating. I think it has to do either with how busy your server is or how busy YT is at the moment.

  • They had some pretty darned good Elvi there - I have seen some really REALLY lame ones before. Glad it didn't rain - but even so I doubt if your fans would have stayed away!! LOL You are quite popular there in Elvypsilanti !! Heck, that one lady was willing to give you all the wieners you wanted. ;)

  • Up until about 3 years ago we had an Elvis contest. Talk about lame impersonators!

  • I thought I would make a comment before I left the building. Great festival and well edited Marc.

  • Thanks Brian.

(You may leave the building now.)

  • OMG Marc, thank you so much for taking video of this! when you first mentioned it I checked the web site and read all about it! Gees, sure wish they had one here!! Those guys were all so good! I think I might have seen Leo Days in Branson.. He is really good!! Cool how everyone knows you!! I want a hotdog too! LOL This was great!! Loved it!!

  • Hi Judy. I was hoping you'd catch this since it was largely because of your comment that I decided to do video as well as photos this year. I'm not much of an Elvis fan but I sure like big crowds and always draws people who want a good time.

  • Well, I'm really glad that you did! I was never a big Elvis fan either till we went to Graceland one year on vacation and also saw some impersonators.. It was so great! Anyway, thanks again for doing this!! xoxo

  • This looks like more fun than actually visiting Graceland!

The audience was definitely having a good time...

  • You have a lone caboose parked right by the street? Rather odd. But then, it's Michigan. Elvis probably drove it there...

I get the impression you've been there before. But only because everyone knows you, and you have an official pink and black shirt. And lounge privileges. LOL

Looks like a fabulous day all around, and some of those performers are amazing. I've seen a few in this area, and you'd swear they were Elvis reborn.

  • I forget the story behind that caboose. Not sure I ever knew it but I do know that the festival used it as office space for a long time. I guess it is less odd if you consider that the old train depot is just across the parking lot (what's left of it after the fire) and the DTA has tried hard to restore the whole area.

  • that looked like a fun way to spend a day

  • It really is a fun way to spend the day, Trish. Even if you're not much of an Elvis fan. Just people watching makes it worth going.

  • ive never really liked elvis all that much...im more of a beatles fan....liked the vid though thanks for sharing! - its interesting to see how close some of those guys look like elvis!

  • Wow, some of them were even better than TheLoathlyDaddy, but shhhh, don't tell him I said so! That was a lot of fun Marc, thanks for the tour. And it's just in time to get people in the mood before Death Days. You know the week of Aug 15, folks FLOOD Memphis to worship at the shrine of the dear departed St Elvis. Your trip looked like a lot more fun!

  • I wouldn't want to say they were better than TheLoathlyDaddy but, you're right, some sure gave him a run for his money, didn't they?

  • A thoroughly enjoyable video Marc!!! I'm not even a huge Elvis fan but this was a great video. You really captured the spirit of it I'd say. I was surprised at how good the Elvis impersonators were. A tad better than me I'd say, LOL.

  • Thank you Blinky. I think you should send a demo DVD to the festival for consideration next year.

  • I'm sure the organizers would be speechless after viewing my demo, LOL.

  • Marc this looked like loads of fun.. You know Elvis and I are both from mississippi but I was never much of a fan til I visited Memphis and now I really do appreciate what he did.

  • It really is a fun event and well organized. I've worked with the festival for several years but this was probably my last. This September, Ypsilanti is debuting its first Jamboree. I'm looking foward to that one and hope to worm my way into the affections of the organizers. But first the Summer Beer Festival in August!

  • Elvisfest look like a lot of fun .and i feel like i have been somewhere.and i really need a fun video like this

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it, Kate!

  • Great privileges. That was fun!

  • I love this video! :) Looks like fun!

  • They were all great performers. I love Elvis. Looks like a fun time.

  • nice :)

  • Great of you to share this with us! It looked like a very nice time! HUGS xoxo

  • Thanks Marc for this wonderful festival tour :)

  • I agree with Curt. It was great to see Elvis's other decades portrayed as well.Looks like a whole lotta shaking going on!!

  • WOW, I have never been a real Elvis fan but you have converted me??? Nah, maybe I shall remain your fan and that will suffice!! You seem to be as popular as Elvis;-) But then again, I am not surprised as you are very well loved here on les tubes Mr. P~~

Thanks for the fun visit to the big hair and sideburns show;)

    Hugs

    Marylou

    xoxo

  • Connection is slow again so I had to pause at 45 seconds to let this load in while I hopped in the shower, and thanks to the guy singing in the beginning, I had "It's Now Or Never" on a continuous loop in my head the whole time.

Nice to see not everyone was impersonating just his 70s look. And some really good singers in the mix, too. Not sure why I assumed it would be otherwise (?).

    Nice lounge, btw.

    ;-P

  • That's the beauty of being an Elvis impersonator, he went through lots of physical and style stages. "Old" is the only limiting factor and even that doesn't stop some people.

  • Free hotdogs! I'd go just for that.

Looks like a lot of fun, and some of those artists are really good. ;)

  • Unfortunately, the "free" stuff is only for the staff and volunteers. I was on the staff for 3 years before I knew I could get free beer! Not that I really wanted any, but hey!

  • hehe Aside from the guys at the gate, is there anyone who didn't know you? ;) This was so much fun!!! Thanks!

  • Yeah, it started looking that way so I cut most of it out.

  • haha! Well, it certainly is popular but she meant free beer for the volunteers, not the guests. The EF is one place where you can drink on the job if you want to. I don't think very many of the workers do, however.

  • That was so much fun going to the Elvis Fest with you! Glad it didn't rain on the Festival!

Everyone knows you around there! To bad the "peons" didn't have a clue...shirt and all!! Lots of Elvi around...an Elvis lovers next best thing...:-) Looks like a good turn out to see all the Elvi too! Free food...you are special...or is it the pink and black shirt that's special? I guess not after seeing the execute lounge...ha! xoxoxoxo

  • Yeah, that executive lounge was a real disappointment once I finally got inside. I thought that was just an elevator going to some cool place underground, but nooooo!

  • It wasn't even any good for time travel? I thought sure you'd open it and find Dr Who - or the Michigan version of him.....
