I have had the 599ZX in the past, but it requirements too much tweaking, the GAP DSP doesn't and you don't lose as much signal in the process of adjusting....I am amazed at the GAP DSP's ability to cut noise and static. Keep in mind, you need a reasonably decent signal to start with, perhaps S-3 or so. Too weak and the DSP may degrade the signal strength more..more testing to determine that..
@wa4aos yes i have the timewave dsp 9 its a decent little noise reducer and filter. the mfj 784 i use also and it works good but its more than i need, i hve bn looking for the perfect filter, i think i can stop now, i bought all of these used, my next video will be the gap hear it speaker which is very good.tks, ka9hjz
What do you have hooked up or the levels to get the audio out so high. Afraid to overdrive the unit..just got it, and playing with it.

Well done video and informative. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
I am using an Timewave 599ZX DSP filter with my Corsair II's and Omni 6+. The 599ZX works very well too.
