Paul Layton is on the left, while Marty Kristian is in the centre!
For the purists, the absolute original line-up, formed by Keith Potger in 1969, consisted of Marty Kristian, Laurie Heath, Chris Barrington, Sally Graham and Eve Graham (no relation).
The 1970 perceived 'original' line-up was Marty Kristian, Peter Doyle, Paul Layton, Lyn Paul and Eve Graham!
It's not the Seekers either!!!! No such thing as new!! New Beatles?....New Elvis?? New Beach Boys?? Selective criticism is what you make of it! I love Eve Graham, but she will never be a new Judith Durham!! The Seekers were unique and you will never replace them!!
@benoni45 They arent compared with The Seekers ( except by you ) as they never sang their songs. They are only loosely connected as for five minutes in 1969 Keith Potger founded The New Seekers. After his lineup released one flop single the successful line up was formed which lasted for most of the 70`s.
The current line up using The New Seekers name is an embarrassment to those of us who have an appreciation of music .
@benoni45 The Seekers are quite alive, well and vital--the Boys still fronted by their lead singer forever, the incredible Judith Durham. I don't think anyone needs to be concerned about anyone replacing them.
Even though this was 1192 Marty still looks as good as ever. Shame they were lip syncning to the original vocals. You will never beat the line up from 70 - 73
Note the comments indicating they should not use The New Seekers name. I take on board what you are saying but that's inferring that the current Manchester United team should be using the name made famous by the Busby Babes. Time moves on folks!!
@benoni45 Thats stretching an anology somewhat! Football teams cant be compared to groups. By your reckoning me and 2 mates and Ringo Starr could get together and call ourselves the Beatles then?
Yes, but you miss the point! If you and your two mates teamed up with Bobby Charlton there is no way you could call yourselves Manchester United, but similarly, if you went to Old Trafford and joined the current team, you would be quite entitled to call yourself a Manchester United player! See??
So good to hear the voice of reason, johnsbhai, i thought i was the only one thinking this. I think a true new Seeker fan would realise that these people are purely a tribute band and should not be allowed to use the name The New Seekers as the clearly are not the original lineup.
Yes that would be a dream come true to see the original line up (with a backing video of the sadly missed Peter Doyle). This group without Eve Graham and Lyn Paul are nothing more than a tribute band. Whilst they give a good performance they should not be allowed to use the name THE NEW SEEKERS. 'The Sound of' or 'New Seeker 2' maybe. Buy the NEW SEEKERS SONGBOOK double CD which is fantastic and include the original recordings by the original 70's line-up.
This line up is now little more than a tribute band. The single playing sounds like the original with lead vocals by Peter Doyle and Lyn Paul. Cheeky to dub it over this lot if that's the case.
Paul and Marty were the only two of the original group in this video. Lyn left, Eve left, Pete died. Marty left about six years ago, and it is down to Paul now who carries on with his own continigent of this group.
I loved Marty too and he still looks great - how can that be, he must be pushing 60! It didn't show much of the other guys but I think the one on the left could be an original seeker. It sounded just the same - were they miming?
I do not recognize the ladies.
Are Eve and Lynn there? Or have they been substituted for a couple of seemingly younger 'chicks'? (Hey, I'm 'with it', eh?)
I know the year says 1992, but even at that point I would expect them to appear older.

@benoni45 See ? What on earth are you talking about ! They dont compare however much you try to dress up this codswallop comparison.
Most of us are music purists . Those who are not , such as yourself would seemingly be happy to see bands such as -
The Beatles featuring Pete Best
The Who featuring Kenney Jones
The New Seekers featuring Paul Layton
I`ve never laughed so much.
