  • I do not recognize the ladies.

Are Eve and Lynn there? Or have they been substituted for a couple of seemingly younger 'chicks'? (Hey, I'm 'with it', eh?)

I know the year says 1992, but even at that point I would expect them to appear older.

  • It's the new new seekers!

  • not 1992 the good old days were long gone then 1972 pb manchester.

  • Horrible! The two women don't even know the lyrics of the song they're not singing..

  • 20 years after they are so bravi

  • Afrer 20 years they are so bravi

  • Who are these people?

  • Is it Steel? like a metal?

    ..or do you mean "steal"?

like i'm begging, smelting steel, and borrowing?

  • R.I.P.

  • R.I.P. You´ll never get back the youthness!

  • idilly

  • Will you all cease your petty bickering,I'm trying to listen to great song, now HUSH,lol.

  • I can't believe that there are people arguing here over the naming of a band 40 yars ago!

  • What a beautiful set! Thanks for sharing. love this song!

  • This is not the original group.

  • @beadsstitcher

Paul Layton and Marty Kristian are both original members!

  • @benoni45 You are right.....I apologize.gosh! I always knew them with long hair!!

  • @benoni45 which ones are they on this clip?

  • @SaintMichael305

Paul Layton is on the left, while Marty Kristian is in the centre!

For the purists, the absolute original line-up, formed by Keith Potger in 1969, consisted of Marty Kristian, Laurie Heath, Chris Barrington, Sally Graham and Eve Graham (no relation).

The 1970 perceived 'original' line-up was Marty Kristian, Peter Doyle, Paul Layton, Lyn Paul and Eve Graham!

  • @benoni45 you are the new seekers expert!

  • steal...thanks for posting...

  • Peter Doyle isn't here - Lyn Paul isn't here - Eve Graham isn't here - it's not the New Seekers !!!

  • @domols62

It's not the Seekers either!!!! No such thing as new!! New Beatles?....New Elvis?? New Beach Boys?? Selective criticism is what you make of it! I love Eve Graham, but she will never be a new Judith Durham!! The Seekers were unique and you will never replace them!!

  • @benoni45 They arent compared with The Seekers ( except by you ) as they never sang their songs. They are only loosely connected as for five minutes in 1969 Keith Potger founded The New Seekers. After his lineup released one flop single the successful line up was formed which lasted for most of the 70`s.

The current line up using The New Seekers name is an embarrassment to those of us who have an appreciation of music .

  • @benoni45 The Seekers are quite alive, well and vital--the Boys still fronted by their lead singer forever, the incredible Judith Durham. I don't think anyone needs to be concerned about anyone replacing them.

  • Ugh ! Let`s remember the 1970 - 1978 hit band . This is like watching a reformed Abba without Agnetha & Frida !

  • your voices and songs are timeless.thank you

  • Even though this was 1192 Marty still looks as good as ever. Shame they were lip syncning to the original vocals. You will never beat the line up from 70 - 73

  • 1192 ..are they that old ??

  • Note the comments indicating they should not use The New Seekers name. I take on board what you are saying but that's inferring that the current Manchester United team should be using the name made famous by the Busby Babes. Time moves on folks!!

  • *should not

  • @benoni45 Thats stretching an anology somewhat! Football teams cant be compared to groups. By your reckoning me and 2 mates and Ringo Starr could get together and call ourselves the Beatles then?

  • @carefreesteve

Yes, but you miss the point! If you and your two mates teamed up with Bobby Charlton there is no way you could call yourselves Manchester United, but similarly, if you went to Old Trafford and joined the current team, you would be quite entitled to call yourself a Manchester United player! See??

  • @benoni45 See ? What on earth are you talking about ! They dont compare however much you try to dress up this codswallop comparison.

Most of us are music purists . Those who are not , such as yourself would seemingly be happy to see bands such as -

    The Beatles featuring Pete Best

    The Who featuring Kenney Jones

The New Seekers featuring Paul Layton

    I`ve never laughed so much.

    LOL

  • @leonaofficial

What you hidding from?? Come out and show yourself!!

  • This was from 1992, not 2004. In 2004 Marty Christian and Vicky James (the blackhaired girl) were no longer in the band.

  • So good to hear the voice of reason, johnsbhai, i thought i was the only one thinking this. I think a true new Seeker fan would realise that these people are purely a tribute band and should not be allowed to use the name The New Seekers as the clearly are not the original lineup.

  • Yes that would be a dream come true to see the original line up (with a backing video of the sadly missed Peter Doyle). This group without Eve Graham and Lyn Paul are nothing more than a tribute band. Whilst they give a good performance they should not be allowed to use the name THE NEW SEEKERS. 'The Sound of' or 'New Seeker 2' maybe. Buy the NEW SEEKERS SONGBOOK double CD which is fantastic and include the original recordings by the original 70's line-up.

  • Sorry to say - I thought this was a Catherine Tate joke! (Sorry!)

  • I wish the original lineup would reform, I miss the voice of Peter, the gorgeousness of Lyn and the overall look and sound of the PROPER New Seekers.

  • This line up is now little more than a tribute band. The single playing sounds like the original with lead vocals by Peter Doyle and Lyn Paul. Cheeky to dub it over this lot if that's the case.

  • I used to live in the same house on Walpole Street in Chelsea with Marty in the 60"s ~ Boy has he done good and still as handsome as ever -

    Alexandria, VA - USA-

  • Doesn't matter which line up sings this...it's just a great song!

  • One of the best song in the History of the Eurovision song festival they should have one although the Luxembourg song was also very good.

  • When will they come together again?

    Laurens

    Fan's from HK

  • 5 Sterne & einen lieben Gruss dazu :-)

  • i love this song! i have a lot of emotional attachment with this song.

  • Well if ever there was a song which reminds me of my great days at primary school, its this!!....classic 70s pop Thanks

  • Paul and Marty were the only two of the original group in this video. Lyn left, Eve left, Pete died. Marty left about six years ago, and it is down to Paul now who carries on with his own continigent of this group.

  • I loved Marty too and he still looks great - how can that be, he must be pushing 60! It didn't show much of the other guys but I think the one on the left could be an original seeker. It sounded just the same - were they miming?

  • GOD MARTY KRISTIAN S T I L L LOOKS GOOD AFTER ALL THESE YEARS - SIGH. One of my FIRST loves :-))))

  • Did you ever meet him?

  • infact... aint that miming?!!!!

  • is the blonde man the only original man? im puzzled... looks like pontins.

  • 1408 messed up this song

  • 2 members rest ?????????????

  • Where has the Peace and Harmony gone?

  • As the Krankies would say.'fan dabby doozy'
