  • looking great!

  • Really good!!! That power supply looks like it will give enough power for the amp. that's always important.

I'm suprised that the transistors don't need a heatsync... But the power transistors in the amp will need one?

I'm looking forward to see the next episode!

  • Originally it the tow 2n3055 transistors were only going to power the relay system and the amplifier, but now I'm going to use a couple of IC amplifer chips and they take a lot of current, so I will have to mount the two transistors on a heatsink, they will be powering the two amplifier chips, and I'll ad a third regulator in for the relays.

  • did all that stuff come in a kit? It seems nice! any idea on how many watts per channel that thing is going to put out?

  • All the components I chose myself and it's my own design. The circuit design I have for an amplifier is not very powerful, only about 2 watts per channel, but I've got two LM383 amplifier chips ordered witch will be much more powerful and simpler to wire up, about 8 watts each so it will give out about 16 watts, although it doesn't sound like much, it's more than enough for a small room like mine. To some people It's surprising how loud just 1 watt can be!
