Why do Dutch people not like music in Dutch? I had a Dutch friend who felt the same way; to her, Dutch sounded prosaic, English sounded "romantic." As a native English speaker, I found this unbelievable. To me English is boring and the Dutch sounds sexy. Maybe understanding the words kills the mood...
