Cops don't always do the right thing just like our Military doesn't always avoid civilian casualties. Nothing is ever that simple. If you live and NY and don't respect the police I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe go ask a local Police Officer what type of crime is happening just blocks away from where you live. The domestic enemies of this country are just as frightening to me as the foreign ones are.
I love that he told off the cops, but is it any better to be hurting people in Iraq? "If you want to hurt people go to Iraq"??? Um, NO. This poor man is about as brainwashed and misguided as those cops if he thinks he was over there protecting his country rather than protecting the interests of millionaires, terrorizing poor people, inciting hatred against the U.S., and killing soldiers who were defending their homeland from an unprovoked foreign invasion.
The uniform should not be used as a platform to shout your political ideals from. Your doing it a diservice. No marine Ive ever served with would ever wear his cammies out of regs like that. Police yourself up devil dog.
i dont think he's trying to say "go to iraq and kill random people, instead of hurting american citizens." what he is referring to is that since in iraq there is a war, they should go there and fight, if they're itching to fight.
He is not from NYC - he went to school in PA. This was staged - he is an actor. He was the 1st actors arrested in a Brooklyn Bridge video - all faked. It is to manipulate your perceptions. There is a lot of money behind this operation. Did you notice in the video how the camera was following him and then he went into his role? /watch?v=suEu1qrYI1s&feature=feedu
Clearly, the Military is for chumps? I am glad to be a chump then. It's so easy for anyone to take a person's desperate words out of context. This video is inspiring and I appreciate this man for standing up for the American people wherever they may be.
@PHANTOMSLAYER77 Poor kids from deprived areas pumped full of bullshit propaganda are the easiest targets for recruiters, with this engineered global economic fuck up we have now business is booming. I was brought up in a military family, 2 grandfathers, grandmother, father, brother, cousins and friends, some who have been left terribly scarred. My son will never serve as long as i have breath, my brother and father have 'awakened' so in our family it ends now.
@enddebtslavery I'd support raising the age of enlistment to 21 so that our kids can have the chance to mature physically and mentally before risking their lives. Why if brains aren't old enough to drink should they be old enough for combat? I was 23 when i joined. No one else in my family had, none of my friends had. I just believed the media at the time. If I had known any of this information ----> youtube(dot)com/watch?v=K5CleTSDkq8#t=248s I WOULD NOT have joined.
@joshbottube Know exactly what you mean, i went to join up at 16, something told me not to, don't know what i wasn't that smart watched tv like everyone else and half believed the shit they peddled. Unfortunately i don't think age is of relevance, i work with dumbass 50 year olds and all you get out of them is ''its all them ni**ers thats the problem....'' .Real education is the key, learning the true meaning of different cultures and embrace them. We are all the same but also very different.
@enddebtslavery Yeah, exactly. The real way to ending extremism (of any kind) is helping build up these other countries. I mean, a well fed, educated man with a family, a career, and hope has less reason to shoot at his fellow man than someone who has seemingly been ignored by the world.
@nibblerseven Exactly, 'devide and conquer' never fails, it's easy to point out the faults of a race/religion/culture and let ignorance create the devide. My son is being taught to take a step back and listen to what alternative cultures teach and that greed/money doesn't want you to feel compassion for anything other than profit, 'casualties are part of the system don't worry about it......'.
I don't think he meant to imply Iraq should be a punching bag - he said, "if you want to fight, go to Iraq." Though I don't agree with the war - he is pointing out that in a war zone- both sides have weapons. I am glad to see a soldier call the cops out on this - too often soldiers/cops will not speak out due to rank. The NYPD need to check their response and tread lightly, because if the people lose faith in them, then they have just ruined their own credibility.
Youtube - I know for a fact that you mess with the numbers. Come on youtube you need to listen to the people too. The people are tired of being used and abused by the shallow, selfish 1%.
Punk ass police messing with the Marines. Do these Corp scum tools not know that when push comes to shove the military WILL be on the side of the People?
"if you want to fight, go to Iraq and afghanistan"??? is this guy a moron?? why should Iraq and afghanistan be a US punching bag? This is whats wrong with america: to many stupid, brainwashed fucked up people who thinks invading, bombing and occupying other countries is a good thing.
I joined the Air Force with a simple desire to defend and serve. The majority of our troops including this guy are willing to put themselves physically on the line to protect people he never met. Neither Sgt Thomas, nor I, nor the majority of the military simply see the world as a punching bag to bomb invade and occupy. And yes I'm fully aware 9/11 was an inside job. Consider having more faith in your common man, even if you disagree with them.
@joshbottube Even though I don't understand your logic, I respect your views. It's uplifting to stumble upon people with common sense. Good people are hard to find these days. Thanks for your comment.
@joshbottube I'm sure his intentions, and yours, are noble, and I admire the courage it takes to put your life on the line like that. However, none of that changes the fact that wars are being fought, and countries invaded, for the wrong reasons. These soldiers may think they are protecting the American people by terrorizing people in other countries, but the fact is they're just protecting the interests of millionaires and making the world a more violent place. I feel sorry for them.
@Silenus6 I agree entirely. Those wrong reasons you mention are fear and ignorance based. The real enemy is the financial elite (who ARE being protested at Occupy WS). They exploit the public's ignorance, apathy, and fear for profit. I feel sorry for them too - they offer their lives in hopes of a better tomorrow yet are used by politicians for the opposite. Learning and caring for one another becomes contagious when we practice the acts ourselves at home. Watch Fabled Enemies
@joshbottube Well said. I'll check out Fabled Enemies, thanks. Check out the video AMAZING SPEECH BY WAR VETERAN, if you haven't already. There's a soldier who truly deserves the respect and attention which Sgt Shamar is receiving now. Peace
@Silenus6 Actually I watched it just before writing the last comment. Watching it reminded me of grateful to God I am that I didn't get assigned to do the things that left that man with guilt.
@The911watch I totally agree with you. I Was about to say the same thing, I mean ... i agree with this guy but other countries shouldn't suffer just because people want to hurt other people.
@The911watch I think he was making a point. It was not an ad for to go fight in Iraq. He scared those pigs. He made them think. He made eveyone there think. Maybe you should too.
@lastpatriot4America I have thought a lot about this. Maybe he should have thought before going to Iraq, and have the same speech to the soldiers who invade, occupy and bomb other countries. I kinda have a problem with countries who occupy other countries. I know that in your country that is called "patriotism" or something, but where I'm from we call it "invasion"
@The911watch Look you have a political view of America. I understand. We the people of the US see this war as a mistake. It is unconstitutional and we should have never let it happen. We are busy tracking down the real criminals of 911. And we know who they are. Bush, Chenney, Rumsfeld the h whole bunch of them will fry. I want the world to know. America has been taken over by criminals and chicken hawks. But their time is up. We are going to get them.
@The911watch Folks like you are DENSE. He's not using Iraq and Afghanistan as punching bags. He's telling the cops they are not in the military. Since we have troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, he is using those two theaters as a reference point. In other words, if you want to beat up people (fight), join the military. NYPD is not the only militarized department in the U.S. Police departments should not be militarized!! By the way, it's "TOO many stupid..."
@FluidITGuy Don't you see the irony here? the vid is titled "There is no honor in hurting unarmed civilians", and this guy comes back from a 10 year invasion, killing unarmed civilians is daily treat. He even says "if you want to fight, go to Iraq and afghanistan" as if hurting non americans is ok. Don't get me wrong, I respect what he is doing here, but the hypocrisy is just overwhelming. This guy should have had this speach against the illegal war of Iraq, instead of participating in it.
@The911watch The politics of the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan were not his point, it was that the streets of New York were not a war zone between the cops and the people.
@The911watch I get your point i think he's point was more if you want to fight people pick a fight with someone who may fight back...he was calling them cowards and making the point he never served to come back to nypd treating people worst then he did with people throwing rocks at him in a war zone...i dont think he was saying go beat up more innocent people...he mentions this when he was being attacked with rocks we understood that people had angry and it was not right to attack them even then
We are the 99%!!!
