Snape never got the recognition he deserved. He had to keep up a stupid facade in order to be a spy. He lost his life because he dedicted to Dumbledore. I'm not saying Dumbledore was a bad person... just made mistakes. The truth of the matter is he had a hard life. But if he hadn't been that for Dumbledore.. then he wouldn't be who he was. I wish it was easier for him... but most of all I wish he didn't have to die knowing how everyone thought he was so evil. He was a wonderful character.

I think that even if they had ended it with Snape taking a guardianship role in Harry's life...like a friend, confidant, mentor, whatever...it would've been perfect. They were wrong to never give him a happy ending. That man suffered his whole life and never knew friendship or love. Grr.

I would prefer that Severus had lived in the end of JKR's version, but, I push her version aside and have rewritten the ending so he does.
