  • Cool, thanks to you, I've got the mixer part figured out...I just need 4 more "1/4" to come from the mixer into the Mbox pro. Thanks for the input...I'll be checking in to let you know how it comes out.

  • Question I have the mbox 2 pro and the MPC 2500, what I'm trying to do is track out four tracks at a time in Pro Tools...how do I connect it to the Mbox pro through the mixer or should I connect directly to the Mbox?

  • if u dont use any software along with your mpc 2500 such as reason or fl studio then u can connect ur stereo outs from the mpc directly into the inputs on ur mbox to record str8 into protools, if u DO use software then u should connect the mpc thru the mixer to the mbox so that u can hear both the mpc and ur software audio at the same time

  • I use software also, so what would be my connections from the MPC>Mixer>Mbox? Thanks for the response...dope video too!

  • ok, from ur mpc u take the STEREO OUTS and plug those into ANY LINE IN INPUT on ur mixer, make sure whatever channel u plug the inputs in you turn up the gain on that channel on the mixer, then from your MAIN OUTPUTS or CONTROL ROOM OUTPUTS on ur mixertake that to your mbox and plug into the SOURCE 1 and SOURCE 2 jacks on the mbox

  • ....(they also say "TRS" next to source this is because it is a multi connection input meaning this is where ur mics usually plug into but! u will see not only does the mic go into the source jacks but also stereo cables will plug right in the hole in the middle of the SOURCE JACKS that comes from your mixer) then all of your audio will be coming from the mpc into the mixer into the mbox and u can record ur music as an audio track in pro tools

  • lastly for ur software ull need a special converter plug that converts the green speaker cord on the back of ur pc into a stereo cord (one end will be the normal end that goes into ur pc and the other end will be the split cord that u can plug into ur mixer jacks , plug that from ur pc to the mixer into a different INPUT on the mixer and that will play into ur pro tools also because of the MAIN OUT or CONTROL ROOM OUT u previously ran to the mbox for the mpc , thats it!

  • its a mackie tapco 6306 mixer 6 inputs 2 mics its ok..about 5 years old tho

  • its clear i have no complaints with it i only use it to connect my stereo, mpc, and computer together..i use the mbox pro tools for recording vocals
