  • I LOVE this clip!!!!!

  • Oh dear, her facial expressions are priceless! She could have been a huge star if she had stayed away from the hard stuff, and if Hollywood had noticed what a remarkable and unique person she was. There will never be anyone like her again. She was one of a kind.

  • how did you get all these clips?

  • This is really wonderful. Thank you!!!

  • I wonder how Edie would go about celebrating Christmas and New Year's with family? All I ever heard was that she was "unwelcome" at her family home at Christmas when she was about 20. Hmm...

  • She went home for X-mas 1966 & her Father drugged her & told her that she was very ill & needed to go to the hospital then told the cops that she was homicidal & had her committed. When her boyfriend, (Bob Neuwirth) called, her Dad bragged to him that he had tricked Edie into being institutionalized by drugging her! Bob told him that he had attorneys there & she better answer the phone in 24 hrs, she was released and returned to NYC, acting happy & as if nothing had happened. She was 23.

  • Hi jarileigh,

Yeah, I remember reading about that episode in the book about Edie by Jean Stein and George Plimpton. It's pretty shocking that a father would do that to his own child. I suppose Edie's way of coping with any traumatic incidents was to disassociate herself from them and to compartmentalise them in a separate part of her psyche (her subconscious?). With shit crazy parents like that, it's no wonder Edie herself sought refuge in drugs and went completely around the rink herself.

  • You hit the nail on the head, I beleive that is what she did. Are you in psych? (I am a child psych) Also, her parents way of dealing with her were to give her large amounts of drugs (Nembutal?) so she really did take drugs all of her life. Her Father was advised not to have kids because of his mental state, he had 2 out of 3 boys commit suicide, I think we can agree he was not fit to have kids. He actually admitted it on his death bed.

  • Yeah, Bri, you always couple your videos with great, 'download-worthy' music! ;-D

  • Wow beautifulllllllllllll

  • This is one of you best, by far! It always has a perfect intro to the outro, with a great mixture in between it all. I really enjoyed the song too, I think I'll be downloading that one so thanks for that! :D

  • The Lyrics To the Song, but Partying can wait another Day. I think Static Distance Defines it.

Happy as always you enjoyed the vid Xx

  • I sit in the window watching my days from a safe distance

Clock towers toll and I am frozen every instant

Backward I brood and forward I dream for figments of existence

It cant be saved. Its already lost, it thrives on my resistance

We are bound and marching to an ever static distance
