This Friday SUCKED ASS. I'm in trouble at work... basically because I have super severe sleep apnea and that's how I found out. And today 3 networks blew up. I fixed 'em all. But I'm either a hero or out a job Monday and so tweaked out from three months of sleep loss I'm nearly psychotic about it. Never had so much go wrong in a day! And Friday the 13th is usually a GOOD day for me!
My favorite Friday the 13th joke was made by Mitch Hedberg ...
" Designers skip the number 13 when they design a hotel, casue it's bad luck. But the people who are sleeping on the 14th floor really know what floor they're on"
Believe it or not, I only found out about the "Friday the 13th" superstition last year. I have had many bad things happen on Fridays (for example, realization that I would have class again on Monday), but no more compared to any other day. I wonder if the "curse" only takes effect if you know about it.
Maybe I shouldn't go on that 8-hour drive today, lol. xD
But no, I do not believe that one rotation of the Earth, labelled Friday by us in the first place can cause more problems than another.
I don't believe in superstitious things, like Friday the 13th, but I get a weird hype about it. Kind of the same way Halloween is my favorite day of the year, maybe along with Christmas day (no, not because of the gifts lol). I guess it's just my juvenile fantasy to experience something paranormal or "out-of-this-world" rather than just constantly live in boring old reality. :P
Holy shit, floppy drive!!...I uninstalled mine years ago because they're legacy hardware everything can be made bootable by USB/CD/DVD. lol
One time as a kid in primary school which I guess would the equiv to elementary in the US. I had a fight with a kid (who ended up being a long time best friend) and his brother, my sister bit a piece of her "boyfriend"'s ear off (she was like 6yrs old) and the front window of my house got put threw by a brick...all on Friday 13th.
Used to be a little supersticiious when I was kid (wouldn't walk under ladders, put new shoes on a wooden table, Friday 13th was bad luck which was odd..I was an Agnostic Atheist, didn't believe in ghosts or anything just as now but I was a little superstitious...try and figure that out because I can't. lol
then I got older and wiser, stopped being superstitious.
I remember reading an article in The Old Farmer's Almanac. On Friday the 13th, a statue was unveiled. Meanwhile, in the audience, several pickpockets stole some wallets.
The people that had their wallets stolen would say that was a bad day. But if you were a pickpocket, or liked statues, it was a great day.

At 1:00PM today, I came back from lunch and stated to my coworkers .. "You guys know it's Friday the 13th right?"
Half of them gave me a dirty look, and many more said why did you have to mention it.
Fucking weird in my opinion.
