Yeah i'm not too keen on that escape you can get caught in an armbar pretty easily You go from a bad position to a worst position in one step. I personally wouldn't advise people trying this escape.
Green belts are in some BJJ schools all over. For example, some schools go white, yellow, orange, green, then blue, purple, brown, then black. You're just use to seeing the traditional white blue purple brown black system of ranking. A green is prolly somewhere around a two or three stripe white belt. Make sense??? Roll on!!!
I disagree with everyone saying you can get arm into an armbar.
Yeah it's possible but the game of Jiu-Jitsu is like a chess match and not every chess match is the same. Just as is the possiblity of going into the armbar, there is an oppurtunity to sweep, to pull guard from that position if you get inches and spacing.
So before we disclude it, let's appreciate the technique and the escape for there is a move, then a counter to the move, then a counter to the counter and so forth.
Not necessaraily, you can place both the knee it'self on the belly to put pressure on (which it can hurt) it or have the shin across the stomach. Both ways you do it, you still base out with the other leg.
Very bad escape. Like others said-open for armbar, open for return to side control. The guy with the green belt is not doing the knee on belly properly-too high. There are more simple and high percentage ways of escaping knee on belly.

That escape is an Armbar waiting to happen. I have actually caught and have been caught by an armbar with that escape.
