Really your playing the "Look smart on the Internet" card. 80% of what people do nowadays is on the Internet, its gotten to the point that posting something on a forum, YouTube, or face book might as well be the same as talking to someone in real life. the only difference is that at then end of the conversation on the Internet you can show the other person a picture of a cat with a pancake on his head

Meme: something that is a phrase or statement that is passed around through a small group. ie. a forum, or page on facebook. see. Stu pickles loses control of his life, or Giles theme goes with everything.

Also spreading between people at a large pace, like a “viral disease” hence the name! examples. ok on a side note ITS NOT A FUCKING MEME OR A VIRAL VIDEO IF HOT FUCKING TOPIC SELLS A SHIRT OF IT. that's how I feel about the Charlie Sheen saying videos. it was never a meme it was straight viral, because it was on the news, case in point a large body of people saw it right after it happened.
