@RoulinBrooks Are you kidding me? IT IS THEEEE BEST. THE TOP 3 IN THE WORLD!!!! BETTER THAN NEW YORK'S TRANSIT SYSTEM. Think before you say or in this case, re-search before say.
@BBCTTC5411 Just yesterday there were switching problems on the TTC. This affected ALL subway lines for more than five hours. Major delays on every line. A day later it's still not fully fixed and the TTC staff haven't solved the problem. It's all in today's Globe and Mail. YOU do the research.
@RoulinBrooks Well yeas, I can agree to that TTC do encounter problems, but it's still thee best. I was in a situation once. I was on the new tr train (5446) and it went past Davisville Station and cut power to the whole YUL line. Everyone got off and waited 30 min. The problem cleared and then 30 sec later, a problem occurs at Bloor with switches. Another train arrives at Davisville as NOT IN SERVICE with full rush hour load disembarking. The TTC only had a few shuttles all full passing.
@BBCTTC5411 I talked to the operator at Davisville and he cursed/swore at me. He gave me the finger and said the word (actually a few words that shall not be mentioned). In the end, I was 1 hr and 45 min late.
@L0ND0NITE oooh you're so smart, you missed the part about this being the 6th train passing by till i could get on, & the pics of the platform filled with 100s of people that cant get on
People complain too much about TTC/Toronto transit. I'm happy enough that it's not like London where they completely close the station entrance for a bit until things get less crowded. :P
@xxhellblitz This is the way it always it during rush hour they should put in more trains but they don't they pack people in like cattle that the Toronto Way. The streetcars are just as bad.
if you bothered to read the info, a rushour train had to remove all passengers at york mills, so that big group tried to fit on the next few already filled trains, & this is on the 6th train after (footage at bloor)
Crowding will only get worse for the following reasons
-More people coming into the GTA and will use transit
-Toronto is very slow and very "political" in doing anything hence subway/rapid transit construction gets cancelled, or delayed.
-Too many people are travelling at one time. If we spread the passenger loads at all hours instead of peak hours, it would alleviate crowding.

Because the federal government is to cheap to give money to build more subway lines.
