David Archuleta was so the best of the night! He had everything in that song : vocals, emotions, connection with the audience... everything. Mike's song just was alright for me. His face looked strained during the performance. Syesha's choice was way predictable. She did a good job, but it wasnt that memorable for me.

Hey now on the Dolly Parton. She is great and such a philanthropist too. Little Sparrow was AMAZING and very different from Dolly's version. Castro was a great version for her. Carly finally came back this week. At first, I thought Archuleta would be the best of the night. Syeshia should go for merely singing that song. Never should anyone have sung that song. No, you just said that! You don't know Coat of Many Colors? It is the song thay made Dolly. Johns FTW!

Michael Johns - Had the performance of the night! This was my favorite performance of his since the Hollywood round.

Carly was fabulous and a close second to MJ. Her vocals were perfect, but she lacked the sexy "WOW" vibe that set MJ's performance apart. Overall, she's still me fave this season.

The other contestants were good, especially the Davids. Ramiele was my least favorite and the one that deserves to go home. For the most part, I agree with your comments this episode.

I was a country radio dj so I knew most of these songs. I think they didn't do Islands in the Stream because they only did songs Dolly wrote. I think the BeeGees wrote that. I was waiting for Coat of Many Colors - my fav Dolly song which is very sweet and heartwarming (you should find it and listen to Dolly sing it -it's a true story from her life) and Kristy Lee did NOT pull that off. Blagh. David Arculeta and Syesha totally made me cry! I think Michael Kors was crying too! Ha. Good job!
