My experience is that given the choice and a similar or improved outcome more than 95% of western patients will always go for the gentle approach over the more severe needling techniques.
today was the first time I've experimented with shallow needling with a patient that I have been treating with deep needling on the back, has shown little improvement with deep needling, so i decide to try shallow needling... I got a great feedback, he said he fell asleep and had vivid dreams on my table and woke up pain free. I love this art!
