As an airsofter, I found that the holster on my cross draw would actuate my mag release when running. I lost my pistol mags several times in game, it really frustrated me as I would have to draw my pistol and get killed because there was no mag in. So now I just use that molle space for something else, and use a drop leg for a pistol.

Im finding an issue with incorporating my saiga 12 into my vest. The mags are HUGE and Im not sure how I want to do it.. Im considering using bungee ties to attach to the webbing on the back, another issue is my AK bayonet. That is my knife, and it doesn't have any eyelets to use for tiedowns. any ideas? I don't like the belt loop on the frog because it just dangles there.

I hate Blackhawk!!! in my opinion they are ridiculously overpriced, and the lack of options they offer on their vest, including the material quality in general, is sub-par compared to an China vest price vs price, and option vs option ratio. My friend owned the (Black-hawk ISSAK LRack Gunner) kit he got for around $200 w-out S&H, and cannot be compared to my previous VooDoo harness of the same character. I would tell people, honestly--go with Tac-Force!!!

I wasn't impressed with my Tac-Force Crossdraw vest, as it said OD and when I got it was bright Lime Green, and the Mesh material I wasn't too enthralled with, but maybe others had better luck. The one thing that I do love and need, but don't have, is the belt-support keepers as they act like suspenders for my (BDU) pants, which is needed when wearing a holster with heavy gun.

If it were possible to raise the sheath about another 4" it would faster to deploy and so much easier to re-holster. You would be able to see it out of the corner of your eye which would let you guide the blade in alot easier

I use to have a full tang knife 550cord tied to my molle plate carrier but realized that in a hand to hand combat situation your own knife can be used against you. So I took it off and just slip a folding pocket knife through the loops.

Good info!! Stay away from sub $50 vests, they are DISPOSABLE!!! Rothco is decent about $65. Suprised 'nut-n did not comment on mag pouch snaps. in tac situation they WILL give away your position. in a firefight I'm listening for 2 things: 1 opponents magazine to hit the ground [now I know is chamber is empty] easy double tap kill. 2 VELCRO noise, that now becomes my new field of concentrated fire. I paid a taylor to rivet snaps onto ALL pouched except ID. VERY ninja-quiet!

i have a molle vest and i have three single mag pouches on my front and 5 or 6 i think its 5 right now upside down on the back for easyer access and no it doesnt fall out suprisingly if you have that cappability i recoment putting a few on the back upside down its easy and kinda looks badass too lol

i believe that if someone was going to attempt slitting your throat they would have they're own knife, because its not hard to get one and would most likely already have one. using the one on your back would give you more time to react, whereas using their own would be more stealthy. not that what you said couldnt happen, its just not likely because its not the easiest option.

Locating a knife on the back is a good idea. However, I think having the blade handle horizontal and located around the middle to lower portion of ur back would make more sense. Its harder to reach over my shoulder than just reaching behind my mid to lower back area. But thats just me.

i like the six mag capability. because not only do you have the versitily of hold six if you need to, but due to the design of the pouch you can stil hold three, and limits the complexity of adding a web belt...nuff said about that. haha love this video
